Views and Staff are some of the best!

Reviewed 11 september, 2022

I must start and highlight the outstanding staff at this hotel, they truly made our stay. Particularly the young guy who checked us in. They really made sure they couldn’t do anything more for us. The hotel itself is quiet nice with a really nice terrace with cracking views and drinks available from the bar, which is the same place you get breakfast from. The breakfast was adequate with some pastries, juice and coffee. The addition of free laundry is great for travelling families. The distance from the town centre felt like an issue at first but it really didn’t cause any issues in fact we all agreed it was nice to get a break from the crowds. The pool area was set up with great views, however the furniture was a little tired and some areas felt and looked a little tired, but still was nice. Our room was well set up with an upstairs area for our kids with a small kitchenette, a very small bathroom, living area and main room. The lounge area had some damage apart from that and the small shower the rooms were great. Whilst there are stairs this shouldn’t stop you from booking - staff always help with bags and it’s not different to other locations in the area. Overall a great experience provided by the staff was the highlight.

Good place on a "budget"

Reviewed 2 september, 2022

Comparing this hotel to the others that are a lot more expensive its a good find. Theres a free shuttle bus that takes you into town. The bus has its problems where the drivers text while driving and are very aggressive when it comes to mask wearing and asking to be dropped off at the train station. A simple request or no is fine enough, we don't need a lecture. The hotel itself was fairly clean, no comfy seats but the view is spectacular. Tons of steps to get to the rooms so if you have mobility issues or have a hard time walking then steer clear of this hotel. Steps can become very steep and theres no elevator. The breakfast is very small where a few pastries and coffees can be requested in the morning. There is nowhere to walk to get groceries so expect to take the shuttle into the city center for anything you need. When the room was cleaned we didn't receive towels 2x which was not the most pleasant. The hotel reception was very friendly which we appreciated and they also booked a last minute boat tour that we loved. There is no ATM on site and the pool isn't heated. Overall a good stay but could use a few improvements.

A great location with incredible views

Reviewed 20 august, 2022

We stayed here for 11 nights in August and would highly recommend. It’s a great location for exploring the Amalfi Coast. The shuttle bus into Sorrento is a god send and very easy to use (just make sure you are on time as they don’t wait for you!). The accommodation was comfortable, the only thing we missed was a more comfortable chair/sofa (the chairs aren’t the most comfy). The staff here are incredible! Friendly and super accommodating. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend

Amazing View

I must say that our stay at Le Terrazze was a pleasant one. The staff was attentive and Giovannie was a gracious host. He attended to all of our needs and facilitated everything for us. Having a shuttle take us to and from town at NO COST was a pleasant surprise. Highly recommend!

The most amazing and stunning view in Sorento

Reviewed 24 july, 2022

I will try to make an as honest review as possible. The location is just marvellous when it comes to the view, the sunrise, the sunset and overlooking Sorrento. There is few hotels in Sorrwnto matching this. The hotel offers a free shuttle to Sorrento which is needed if you don’t travel by car. The location is not walkable from Sorrento, but on the other side if you do arrive by car they offer free parking! Rooms are small and does not feel very clean. We switched room after arrival. The first room was really outdated, but the second was better. You have small kitchens and a terrace so you can make your own food. The family rooms are not any bigger than the other rooms so with a doubble bed and a bunkbed inside, the room gets a little crowded😅 The swimming pool is nice, but should be cleaned more often! The area around the pool is also nice and offers great view over the gulf of Naples. Not being able to see the bottom is a turnoff for me. The breakfast service is also not good. «Italian breakfast» means you get cofee and juice on a tray and are given croissants in a paper bag. For me breakfast is important, so this breakfast does not add any value. On the positiv sides, the view and the location adds up for the lack of other things. The service from the staff is amazing, and the will to fix things is admireble. The free laundry service is also very nice. The hotels main terrace outside the reception/bar is amazing. You find peace here either for the beautiful sunset, or early in the morning with the sunrise and a cup of Italian coffee. Hotels in Italiy is a lottery. This 3 star hotel is a 3 star hotel, and don’t expect it to be more. If you are spending your whole day in the Amalficoast or out at Capri this hotel is a nice hotel to Sleep at at an OK cost. Spending a whole day at the hotel, I’m not so sure I would recommand. I’m used to nice hotels, and ended with this due to the extreme prices in Sorrento. Normally I would have picked a 4 star hotel, and due to that I guess this is a nice 3 star hotel!
