Perfect Stay

Reviewed 7 october, 2022

My husband & I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Sycamore room. The room is HUGE with a lovely seating area with a walk out private balcony. Very large bathroom complete with a soaking tub & separate shower area. Very comfortable king bed made for a refreshing nights sleep. High end amenities with some products from the Buff Soap store downtown. Allison the innkeeper is a delightful person as well as a top notch chef. Our breakfast was delicious. The inn offers water, soft drinks & coffee anytime of the day in their dining room . Even kind enough to store our left over meal that we had eaten in town. (Corner Grub House restaurant, very tasty) Unfortunately we forgot to grab it when we ckd out even though Allison reminded me.😁😉 The town Sulphur Springs was fun to shop around & explore. We even purchased products from the Buff Soap store as a result of our stay at The Oaks. Allison recommended the Dairy museum & we found it very interesting. HIGHLY recommend The Oaks!! :) :) Thank you Allison for letting us enjoy your beautiful home.🥰

Wife's Birthday trip

First off the house is pleasing and decorated nicely. We met the owner and she was accommodating and friendly. The room was good but in many b&b stays such as in New Braunfels, Arlington TX, Granbury TX among a few others, a few amenities missing like individual K cup brewers in room and small fridge in room to enjoy cold soda or cold water. Well decorated and well located just minutes from downtown. The food was good but and quality very nice. Only thing we noticed is the food was not hot when served. Atmosphere outside was lacking but the other guests were friendly and overall not bad. Need a few more amenities like more black tea bags and some snacks for guests. It was a nice stay. Thanks

Owners went above and beyond...

I had a well-appointed room with a fabulous whirlpool spa bathtub. The room also had a nice shower. The other guests were quiet and the bed was wonderfully comfortable. I had to leave well before their regularly scheduled hot breakfast, and the owners made me an AMAZING to-go box for my journey -- filled with delicious and healthy food. It was very much appreciated. Nice-sized toiletries were included in the bathroom as well. A good value-priced stay at a unique property.

Loved it - no reason to stay any places else when in Sulphur Springs

Although the house was built in the late 1930’s, when you are inside you will experience a luxury unknown at that time. The rooms are tastefully remodeled and are very comfortable and the bathroom is huge. Allison prepared an excellent breakfast, and she promptly mailed the electric toothbrush I left behind. The house is only a couple of blocks from the beautifully restored Courthouse.

We visited from DFW & our family of 4 stayed in the Sycamore Suite. From entrance to exit — it was an amazing & charming stay! The room was updated, spacious, and very clean. The bed was so comfortable - we slept like rocks! Also, Allison set up an air mattresses to make sure our 7 y/o & 11 y/o were comfortable as well. Keypads on doors were so convenient & made coming and going easy yet secure. Cherry on top - breakfast was AMAZING! We will absolutely be back & highly recommend.
