Friendly spot

At first when we drove in it looked as if we were going into someones house instead of a B & B. They use the top floor of their ranch house as the B&B. Jerry greeted us and made us feel extremely welcome, he indulged us in all kinds of pleasant conversation . The place is light and airy although the rooms are a bit small with not a lot of space to spread out. We stayed in guest rooms 101 and 103, which have a shared bathroom off the hall. The rooms were clean, the bed comfortable and the best part were the bathrobes. Breakfasts were great and expansive, fruit, yogurt, danishes, cereal and such - Patty the owner sent us off with a loaf of fresh baked banana bread which was delicious.

An unexpected and pleasant surprise

Reviewed 5 december, 2018

We stayed here for one night while attending a swim meet at nearby University of Puget Sound, and were pleasantly surprised at how warm and welcoming the home is. It is, indeed, on a busy road and I am normally really bothered by noise at night, but I didn't have a problem using the host-provided ear plugs. The shared living areas are very comfortable and had been decorated for Christmas, so when we arrived, the music was playing, the tree lights were on, and there was a "fire" in the fireplace. Nice atmosphere. We were comfortable with our stay here and would recommend it and stay again, should the need arise. Thank you!

Nice clean house, close enough to all the attractions but far enough to be out of the congestion and noice. Lots of parking is the back, easily accessible. Ensuite in the room is great, room very comfortable. Although our room was on the street side, no issues with traffic or people noise. Private entry code on the door allowed coming and going at our schedule, no keys to deal with. It was clear who was there by listing first names on the board so we could introduce ourselves in the morning or at night. Hosts very friendly. Breakfast awesome. Would stay again.

Disappointing

Reviewed 29 november, 2017

The place was clean. The name of the garden generated more expectation than the smallish garden. The neighborhood was generally nice but the house is right next to a busy street so some rooms can be noisy. At the time of our visit, the weather was warm and our room was small and stuffy. There wasn't any other guests at the time so the shared bathroom situation could have been worse. There was a fruit and yogurt breakfast which was okay but would have been better if we were asked what we would like or had some choices. We did not feel welcomed and not sure why the owners were doing this other than just for the money? This trip was in May 2016 so things could have changed.

Amazingly

We stayed for 4 nights and had an absolutely wonderful time. The place is beautiful and in a good location. What we loved about was the at your own house feel. Patty and Jerry go above and beyond to make sure you have whatever you need. We were in town for our daughters wedding and it was so nice to be able to sit out on the deck and just enjoy each other's company and the beautiful Pacific Northwest weather.
