I have been traveling to Talara for job for more than 15 years and this is one of the best options to stay considering the limited offering, rooms has been refurbished, all with air conditioning that is necessary in Talara but ask for rooms around the pool that are bigger, there are some ones very small, breakfast is good with a limited but enough buffet, better than the simple American that is served in Pacifico hotel, that is then sin reason I prefer Angolo.

We stayed at this hotel when it was brand new and liked it. The rooms are a little dark, as there are no windows except at the entry. I booked it for March 2015, but after taking a look at the room and the somewhat run-down aspect of it, decided it would be too depressing to stay there, and returned to Piura with my chauffeur to stay at Los Portales. If you have to do business in Talara, this would be your choice. But Talara is so changed from times past, and the hotel reflects that.

In a very quiet neighborhood, good service and great food. The rooms are with airco and really cozy. Good to relax after work and get a beer at the pool. the service is great and they are always willing to help, with a reservation or booking my flight tickets.
Decent nights sleep.

Stayed a Monday night. Wifi was good. Room was clean. Water was hot, soap and shampoo provided. Stayed on bottom floor room 4. Appears recently remodeled. The room I stayed in had a large social/living area in the front and a low wall, which behind was the sleeping area.
Simple & basic, but nice

I stayed at this hotel from 29th Jan 2013, for 8 days. The hotel is very basic with basic amenities. However, it is clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. My first room had an aircon problem and so I was shifted to another room. The second room also had a prob in the bathroom, so I was promptly shifted to a bigger nicer room.
The breakfast is complimentary, though it is quite basic. There is wifi available in the lobby & restaurant and also in rooms (if you are near the lobby area).
The location of the hotel is quite nice. It is in a quiet & peaceful location and yet is not too far away from the main shopping area.
There are a few restaurants near the hotel (between 10 - 15 mins walk away).
Over all, it was a lovely experience. Just remember, this is a basic hotel, but clean with nice friendly & helpful staff. The hotel is good for a business trip (if you are not looking for luxury) or for an inexpensive, no-frills holiday.
