My husband and I booked this hotel. The hotel name we booked under “Travel Lodge†was not the hotel at the exact location. The name had changed so new management. I’m he hotel was paid in advanced and all other surrounding hotels for 45minutes to an hour were booked solid. So we had to stay and suffer the madness, but we definitely checked out at 7am the next morning. The hotel did not have a phone, the wall and floor boards had mold and very dirty, the room had no hot water and the shower head was leaking on the side. The tub itself was horrible. It was painted over but the paint was peeling. The tub was also peeling and was rusted under the paint. We put a towel down in the shower in hopes of taking a shower but that’s when we found out there was no hot or warm water. The room came with two flimsy body towels- we had to go to the front desk (because there was no phone in room to call) to ask for face towels and hand drying towels. The smoke detector in the room was torn down and wires are open on the socket. Only one light fixture worked in the bathroom. The bathroom had holes in the wall and the entire room smelled like smoke regardless of us requesting a nonsmoking room. They require you pay cash deposits $20 for all guest at check in. The I’ve from the ice machine smelled awful. I would NOT recommend this hotel for a dog!!!! "
Worst Experience Ever

If I could give us property a zero, I would do so. It is the filthiest and dirtiest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. If you’re looking for a place to stay, even on a Gameday weekend, don’t do it. It’s not worth it. The health department should shut this place down. There were stains everywhere, mold in the AC unit, black mold in the ceiling, socks were black in 2 seconds after taking off our shoes, towels were dirty, and the list goes on.

Review of La Casa Inn & Suites

We were in Tallahassee for parents weekend Sept. 22, 23, 24, 2022 & stayed here. I cannot believe this place is allowed to rent to anyone. When we checked in lady behind desk said we were in a smoking room. I did not want a smoking room but nothing else was available so she handed me a can on Glade spray. Both lights by the beds were out, only lamp on top of fridge worked but had no shade on it. The place was filthy, roaches, trash all over the grounds, one tiny towel & wash cloth. The shower area had mold, shower curtain rod hanging by one screw. Had no water one night went downstairs they said they were working on it would send someone up. Went out when we came back someone had tested the water in the tub but left it on and the floor was flooded. I cannot even begin to tell you how terrible this place is. I have stayed in hundreds of hotels and never have I been in one in this condition. We had no choice but to stay as all hotels were booked due to parents weekend. This hotel took advantage of this and charged us $159.00 a night.
Now we know why it was so "affordable"

We arrived in the evening as a stop on our Big 2022 Road Trip. We were greeted by a friendly desk attendant in a non-air-conditioned lobby. We received our room cards and were instructed to "park behind the partying contractors in the parking lot". We let the ranchera music serenade us as we parked in a very busy lot for that late at night and proceeded past the picturesque courtyard and through the debris-strewn hallways to our room. We opened the "experienced" door and saw a large room with a newer hardwood floor - but couldn't see much, as several light bulbs were broken or unplugged in the room and bath. Also, the AC was set at 61 degrees, but wasn't cooling at all - we removed the cover and saw that much of the AC mechanism was covered in crud and also iced up. We put a fan on the AC ice to melt it and see if it would work better and began to move in. Once Jose (a really nice maintenance man) brought bulbs and re-plugged some lights, we could see the walls were rather stained and the floor not exactly clean. The large flat-screen TV was good, but there was no remote. We went back to the front desk and asked for hand towels (none in the room) and a remote. We received a remote, but were told no towels at all were available in the evening. We settled in the warm and humid room and tried to relax, thankful that the walls did shut out all the festivities outside. But that's when we saw a small army of cockroaches swarm our bags on the table under the TV looking to share our snacks. We went to bed, but the AC never worked properly and we think the cockroaches stole some of our good cookies. We replenished our ice at the machine and went on our way. We wanted to speak with a manager, but after a somewhat long wait (behind other disgruntled customers) we were told one was not onsite and "they'd take our comments". Likes: friendly staff, nice courtyard, convenient location, good ice machine, reasonable price Dislikes: AC never worked (sweaty sleep isn't fun), very grubby room, light issues, insufficient towels, pool out of service, and those darn cockroaches
