Very enjoyable stay

We stayed for the one night prior to checking into a villa in Altura. We received a very warm welcome and they accommodated an earlier check in time. They provided a very helpful map of the local area and directions to locate the apartment. The accommodation was on the second floor where we enjoyed a two bedroom/two bathroom apartment. The air conditioning worked perfectly and it was spotlessly clean. Access to the second floor for anyone with mobility needs may be difficult as there were a lot of stairs. Large balcony overlooking the pool. No designated parking but plenty on the road below the apartment block. It was quiet and felt very safe. Tennis court and pool very close by as well as a restaurant and bar. WiFi is chargeable and not particularly cheap but it worked well at a good speed. Excellent, helpful and accommodating staff, easy to find, very clean and well equipped accommodation and very close to beautiful Tavira town centre. Good access to the airport as well. Would certainly use again.
Great complex with everything you need

We stayed in a 2 bed, 2 bathroom apartment for 10 days in September. The apartment was great, nice to have the extra bathroom for a family. Kitchen facilities were fine.
The complex itself is really nice, staff are very friendly, will help you as much as they can. Sun hits the pool all day, perfect for sitting beside the baby pool with kids.
Just outside the town, the walk is about 20 minutes, or a taxi is only about €5. Not much within walking distance, unless you want to go to a shopping centre, but the complex is worth staying just outside the town. Would definitely return.
The restaurant on site, Nora Velha is really good! We were pleasantly surprised at how nice the food was. Perfect for lunch.
Ok for the price; but certainly not great!

Spent one night there with the wife. Seems to be cheaper than the average price around town for an ok place . Downsides: 1. No air conditioning so it gets pretty hot . 2. By a busy road so pretty noisy (if you don't want to die of heat you are forced to open the patio doors to sleep) 3. Beds are single beds one besides the other (it was stated, so we knew ). 4. Hair found in both beds (both of different length and shades ; which points to the sheets not being changed before our stay ) . It really ressembles a 3 star all inclusive resort if it's what you are looking for .. premises outside are clean and well maintained . Not what we were looking for !
Spotlessly clean apartments near to town. Wheelchair users read to end.

Our two bedroomed apartment was spacious, spotless and well appointed. We had air conditioning and a mosquito screen on the french doors. No toiletries supplied, only bars of soap. We got fresh towels each day and there were also spares in the wardrobes. One regular shower & one over-bath shower. Plenty of storage space throughout. Toilet paper provided. Beds were on the hard side.
Wifi is available via a dongle at a charge of €4/day plus a deposit payable but this proved handy as we could bring it with us when we were out.
Our apartment was on the ground floor next to the pool. Our veranda had a table and chairs and two sun loungers with mattresses. The gardens are beautiful and well kept.
A good supply of loungers at the poolside & a shower.
Despite having filtered for a breakfast option when choosing our accommodation we found that the restaurant had been closed by the new owner two weeks previously. This was most inconvenient as we had a person in a wheelchair with us. As we would have liked to go out for breakfast nearby while on holidays we found this disappointing.
There is a supermarket at the entrance which has a good selection of items and the little coffee bar has lovely coffee. We had our lunch in the bar on site and this was satisfying.
As we had an elderly lady in our party, we were delighted to be given a free late checkout, which made life much easier for us on the last day. Thank you.
It is only a short walk into Tavira but difficult to cross the very busy roundabout although people did stop.
For those of you with wheelchairs I must say we found it almost impossible to manoeuvre same on the cobbled streets. As some of the cobbles were missing the wheels were inclined to go into the dips, almost tossing the user out on occasions. This was a problem for us everywhere we went that week and very hard work.
Great location and amenities, just outside of the town

We stayed in a one bed apartment in block 10.
The grounds, pool and apartments are lovely, and we'll looked after, there is a supermarket at the entrance as well as a bar. Plenty of lounge chairs and washroom in pool area all very clean. The apartment itself was at the back of the complex near the pool but not facing the pool, which was good because you had no noise from the pool area. Inside the unit was spotless and very bright with exception of the bathroom which had no window. Bathroom nice size with tub/shower combo, vanity and sink, toilet and bidet, all spotless. Beds were comfortable in the room and plenty of closet space, nothing extraordinary but nice and functional. Living room had two love seats which were actually sleeper sofas, French doors out to a balcony with small table and chairs and lovely view of the hillside and residential neighbourhood, living room also was equipped with flat screen TV.
There is also a table with four chairs to eat at as well as a buffet unit on the wall. The kitchen was fitted with microwave, cook top, coffee maker and toaster. Now for the negative.... the kitchen had dishes and cookware but not cooking utensils at all, nor any cleaning supplies to wash, dry scrub dirty dishes with. Also no juice glasses, only wine goblets. We were also disappointed in the amount of toiletries left for us for one week, we received a hotel size bar of soap, no hair dryer was provided until we asked for one at the desk. Those are the only negatives, so if you want to make a meal be prepared to buy, cheese grater, flipper, peeler, cooks poon, scrubby , dish soap etc.,The housekeeping did come daily to change towels add toilet paper , sweep the out garbage etc which was good. There was also a clothes drying rack provided if you wanted to handwash your clothes, which we did and put them on the balcony to dry.
All in all a lovely place to stay at a reasonable price, I would recommend, but you must have a car as it is in my opinion to far to walk to town.I would stay a
There again if staying in Tavira area. Also worth mentioning WiFi is not included and costs extra, deposit for WiFi required and then a charge per day. Building has an elevator. The restaurant on site is good has a varied menu and the service was nice also, would recommend that too if you are too pooped to go back to town for dinner.Good prices, and wine selection.
