Comfortable Hotel at a Reasonable Price

We spent 4 nights in this hotel. It was very clean. Wifi was excellent. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our king sized bed was comfortable. Tea was always available in the lobby. Breakfast was included on Friday, Saturday and Sunday but It was difficult to find any healthy choices. (Sweet cereal, pastries, white bread, jam, apples or melon or papya.) Only instant coffee was available.
Great location, helpful staff!

Located in a beautiful traditional house, has very few rooms - all airy and spacious. The bed is comfortable and the place is spotless. They serve continental breakfast included in the price of the room. It is a few minutes by foot from the Zocalo and they also have a beautiful roof-top sitting place to enjoy the scenery. The stuff is amazing and the price is lower than the other hotles in the center.. recommended
reasonable price, good stay

La Casa del Laurel was the perfect choice for us for our three-day visit - beautifully appointed spacious room, excellent wifi, free parking, thoughtful service and little treats in the lobby (apples, pastries, coffee, tea). We were concerned about noise since a couple of reviews had indicated that, but our room overlooked the street, and after 8:00 or 9:00 pm, it was completely quiet. Also, the double windows and double drapes act as an extra barrier to sound. The hotel is situated well away from the zocalo, and Taxco is quiet early in the evening. Our bed was incredibly comfortable, our room and the whole hotel were spotless, and there was plenty of hot water. Keep in mind that breakfast is only offered on the weekend, but we just went up the street to Los Arcos for a full and very reasonable breakfast, so that was not an issue. Lovely staff, great value, close to everything - I would highly recommend this hotel.
