Great place to stay in Puerto de la Cruz , Tenerife
Kind staff , great location , helpful staff ( gracias Veronica ) , good food , lovely weather : I certainly recommand hotel BlueSea Interpalace to all who like to spend their vacation in Tenerife . Entertainment , enough to do in the area , the mountains on one side the ocean on the other : so very beautiful . Great walks , peaceful place : you will love it !
Blue Sea?
First of all we were booked in at Blue Sea Lagos de cesar Santiago. When we got through the airport there was no shuttle bus for our transfer, so we took a taxi costing 55€. When we arrived the hotel was closed down and there was some information on the entrance door; wrote in Spanish. Fortunately for us our taxi driver spoke both English and Spanish. There was a phone number which the driver rang and when he had finished he informed us that the hotel was closed down and we had been moved to Blue Sea Interpalace Puerto de la Cruz; the other side of the island! So after another 55€ taxi fare we arrived at Interpalace. This hotel was rated 4 star. Although it was spotlessly clean to my disappointing it was 2 star. We went bed and breakfast so breakfast was all we had. Although the food looked golod with a large selection the problem was the hot food was actually stone cold which made it disgusting. Through all this saga we were never mcontacted by Blue Sea once,which I find disgraceful My advice to you is don't go there!
Christmas Gettaway
I went to the sister hotel last year for Christmas, so was happy enough to come to this one this year. All in all a great hotel, especially for the price. There was a lot of wining and moaning, by the English as usual, no Sunday roast, no English bacon(well Danish).. These people are extremely embarrassing, as I told a few of them, the resort is not a full English like Benidorm, its mixed Germans, swedes etc, and they have to cater for everyone I was happy with the food as always, yes there was not a massive choice, but this was down to the restrictions imposed by the Government, not the hotel, the curfew at nights riled a lot of people, but again, the whole of the Island was in the same situation, so you cant blame the hotel for sticking to the law. Rooms were very nice and cleaned every day, I had a sea view which was great, and slept well with the noise of the waves crashing. The drinks were good as always, the self service was not allowed again, covid to blame, but I still managed to get enough down me every night Some great staff, under a lot of pressure, so well done to all concerned. All in all a great stay and I would heartily recommend for anyone thinking of paying The Interpalace a trip John
Don't come hear
The food cold I no we got vivid but this place rip of shut bar at ,,930 lol don't tell u before u get hear try some were led we were supposed to be open till 12 then at 930 come and tell you all shut at 10 on X then blame poilce
A little unfair to judge maybe.....
With covid restrictions, a terrible year and a half empty hotel it may be the wrong time to judge but there were some disappointing elements during our stay. Overall though we had a lovely holiday and well needed break. We enjoyed our stay in Puerto de la Cruz and would return but perhaps to a different hotel. - points No water in the rooms and charged for bottled water at the bar Safe is €3 a day Entertainment limited and repetitive Pool is ice cold Food selection is limited and very samey Limited drinks choice on AI including mixers etc :( Sister hotels closed therefore no extra pools and facilities as advertised + points Very clean and tidy hotel Lovely friendly staff and team Room cleaned almost daily Tennis courts free to use Crazy golf on site - also free Lovely local shops, restaurants and bars Close to seafront Decent hairdryer in the room Good shower (although if you run the tap at the same time the water temp changes quite suddenly) Nice clean gym with decent equipment Comfy beds I'd recommend this hotel but for a shorter stay and I would give them another try post covid rules and restrictions.
