Be prepared for excessive extra costs
As beautiful the place is as worse are the owner and management. We booked a suite for almost 200€ a night with breakfast. Breakfast was charged extra, spontaneously they decided that we have to book the room for two nights. Not one as we wanted and paid in advance! They wanted us to pay another night even we won’t stay there!! „House policy” they said?!!?!? They take every chance to charge extra, only after long, loud and very unfriendly discussions we agreed we won’t pay any of those ridiculous charges and we won’t visit them ever again.
Poor rooms with uncomfortable beds, insufficient lighting for the amount of scorpions. I don‘t bother the missing AC but the smell of sewage and Air freshener stained our clothes. The breakfast was OK but costy. This would be the main point: Hefty prices ruined the experience for a Hotel that is not even close to european Standards. The garden was nice, though.
The hotel is beautiful and with an spectacular view. A little far from downtown but in a quiet zone. Service is really great. Food is good but expensive. Rooms are big and with all amenities, except for a TV. The pool was a little bit cold for our taste.
Visit to Tepoztlan, Morelos
Service was excellent. Staff went out of there waye to make sure we were happy with our stay. They prepared great food at their restaurant. Peaceful and relaxing place. Highly recomend this hotel. Room were very nice and clean there is a mini bar and bottle water in every room. There is an extra charge for this items but it is not expensive. Try the spa and massage you will love it, also not expensive for this services. Very nice outdoor pool to swing and spend an afternoon with the family while you are there. Overall I give Casa Bugambilia a 10+.
A hidden, peaceful gem in Tepoztlan
This is definitely one of the most beautiful places I've ever stayed while traveling. Huge, spacious yards and gardens in a valley of towering mountains overhead, with quiet breezes, animals, and only a 5 minute taxi ride from the Tepoztlan city center. The people who work here are attentive, kind, and very eager to please. They serve food all day, starting at 8:30am and make some of the best chilaqules I've ever had. The rooms are big and feel like you're inside and old boat (in a good way). Only a short walk down the road are other resorts and spas and hotels that do Temazcals, and there's one hotel only a minute or two walk that is famous for its live Cuban music night and dancing, every Saturday night, until the sun comes up. I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet and beautiful getaway to write, relax, do work, or just get out of a noisy city, to come here. Particularly for couples, or groups of couples, but it would be a great vacation to go on with a group of friends as well. Again, I can't recommend this place enough -- and the people there are just so lovely, happy, and accommodating. They have a great knowledge of Tepoztlan, particularly the owner Don Pedro, so if you run into him, ask for his recommendations of places in the town to eat and hang out, and you cannot go wrong. I'd come back here in a heartbeat.
