Not clean.The “clean towels “ had hair on them. No hot water.The bathroom was dirty. I took wipes that I brought to wipe things down. If we hadn’t been so tired we would have found other accommodations. We were not happy.
Very Bad, Old Dirty Hotel
I am only giving this location 2 starts because the location is good and the front desk agent was friendly. That being said, during COVID, the front desk agent was not wearing a mask and zero safety protocols were observed. We stayed here because we needed a last minute pet friendly hotel while driving through to Austin. Apparently the "Pet Friendly" rooms are the rooms that have never been cleaned or updated. It is laughable that they charge a $15 pet fee and $100 hold. The room itself was disgusting. A pungent moldy, mildewy, almost toxic smell came from the room as soon as we entered. The carpets were worn, dirty, and sticky. I was afraid to take off my shoes. There was hair in the bathtub. The entire room was old, worn, outdated and dirty. My husband and I both smelled the sheets before getting into bed, which were actually clean. But the remainder of the room and hotel made it questionable. There were a lot of construction worker/lineman type vehicles in the parking lot. So maybe this hotel survives off the cheap room rates and pass through visitors. But, I wonder how they keep their Super 8 flag.
Quick, Last Minute, Holiday Trip
Booked same day for last minute trip. Last check in after midnight. Fast, friendly front desk staff. Room was clean, quite & comfortable. Location on I-30 for easy access. Would stay here again in the future if in the area.
Horrible super 8 in texarkana.
Super 8 has definitely gone down hill. 2nd floor where we were was a huge party, very loud people running down halls and screaming for hours until 2am before anything was done. Weed smell coming in our room. Hotel smells moldy carpets disgusting. Rooms here should be $39.95 at most. Shower knob broken, I strongly do not recomend super 8.
NOTHING positive to say about this location.
1. DIRTY 2. We arrived late Wednesday night, I put $60 worth of food into the fridge; woke up, everything was hot. I called the front desk, the General Manager AJ Lad told me it was MY fault - " I should've known to call open the fridge, see whether or not the lightbulb worked and then called the front desk so they could tell me I have to flip a switch on the wall". I have my food receipt as I will be contacting Wyndham Corporate.
