Worst I’ve stay in the last 10yrs. Unworthy of one star!
Front desk was nice, check in was easy. But when I got to the room, all that changed! The door lock only works after several tries. The room look straight out of the 1980’s. Carpet was old and nasty, stains and burns in carpet. All the furniture was old and dusty. Had sneezing fits from dust, the whole time in the room. Mirrors were dirty. Bathroom floor and sink had trash on it. Tub was stained. There was only 2 towels, no soap to wash with. Closet had 2 hangers, one for shirt and one for pants, cause everyone only wears the same cloths their whole stay right? Tv didn’t work, said service interruption. WiFi code given did not work. Lamps in nightstand outlets did not work. Bed sheets had multiple stains all over them. Phone did not work, had to call front desk on my cell! No breakfast offered even though it’s part of the amenities listed on the website. I would not stay here for $5 a night! They refused to move me rooms, stating that they had none available, despite being a weekday and only 6 cars in the parking lot. I’m stranded here for three days, because this looks nothing like the website and I need a place to go for business and it’s a late notice discovering all this tragedy!
Best employees ever!
I am very loyal to the IHG brand. However upon arrival we noticed this hotel could use some tlc. However the people they have working for them made the stay! Especially Ashante who worked nights. You talk about going above and beyond this lady helped us way above and beyond. Our two kids both got sick one night and she helped us and made everything so easy to manage..This lady deserves a raise!!! The only thing this hotel needs which is pretty important is new mattresses! The beds are not very comfortable. But other than that a nice place to stay!
Apparently nice Holiday Inn Express, but a little tired.
When you walk into the lobby this hotel looks nice and clean, however a closer inspection indicates that it is a little tired and apparently not maintained as well as it should be. My room was comfortable, a suite with an in-room jacuzzi. However the furniture was showing wear. The display on the room heater/air conditioner didn't work leaving one guessing as to what temperature you were setting. On the morning of my departure there was no hot water, leading to one of the fastest (and coldest) showers I have had in a long time. The breakfast was skimpier than usual, offering no yogurt or oatmeal.
Helpful staff
After being bumped without compassion from a La Quinta nearby, we were actually quite happy to land at the Holiday Inn. The staff were friendly and helpful, bringing additional hangers to our room quickly after our request. We enjoyed the omelette, eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy , fresh fruit, and cereal breakfast. There was even an egg white and veggie egg option which was great for our health-conscious daughter. One daughter and I made use of the work out room. The pool was closed and the pancake maker was out of order, or we would have rated the hotel higher. My wife and I sleep on a softer bed, so we found the mattress a bit firm, but not so firm that we didn't sleep. Neither of us felt sore in the morning wither, so I chalked it up to just a preference for a different mattress firmness. The grounds were clean and the area seemed safe. While we don't have many stays in Livingston, we would not rule it out for a future trip.
Nice room great breakfast.
Check in was nice and easy. The desk clerk was friendly and helpful. I asked for a 1st and they had it ready with decent WIFI. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great with probably the best gravey out there. Parking was very safe and convenient. Overall it was a great stay.
