Time for action
Reviewed 20 september, 2022
We stayed this month at Novotel Reims Tinqueux for the night on the way back home from Spain. Reception was too busy to hand us the key, no elevator and a room which should have been refurbished many years ago - without doubt the worst Novotel we ever stayed at. It would be good if the hotel takes some action (see photos) as they do not deserve the Novotel brand the way it is now. The only thing that was good was the dinner and breakfast in the restaurant (both the food and staff).
NOISY AND MANY ISSUES WILL NOT BE RETURNING
Reviewed 17 september, 2022
We stay many times on our tripos across France every few months and enjoy all Accor hotels on the whole. This Novotel is situated in a very convenient but horrible industrial park with car parks surrounding it giving constant noise. The evening we stayed, there was about 60 business people staying for a staff convention, waking us up at midnight as their coaches all came back. The room booked was incorrect after walking the massive, long corridors and first floor with no lift and carrying g our many bags. The receptionist then apologised at giving us the wrong room and beds booked so further long walks even further. The room was not at all quiet and the restaurant sadly let us down too. As previous people have written they pushed everyone together in one third of the restaurant leaving most of it empty instead of allowing us to sit apart more. The food was average but expensive and house Cote du Rhone a massive price too. Service was very curt, rude and slow. Staff generally appeared very disinterested and unhappy. Overall, we know there are many other choices of hotel and better Accor choices to stay at. This is not one of those, as it appears badly managed, apart from anything else.
Disapppointing evening meal
Reviewed 13 september, 2022
Our room was comfortable enough, and breakfast copious and tasty. But we ate there in the evening, which was a mistake. We had to wait ten minutes for the attention of the maitre d, then another 20-30 minutes before we were able to order - on a Monday night! The wine was over-priced; I had a single glass of Cotes du Rhone, while my husband had a beer. The food, however, was the real issue. Part of this was the very poor translation into English of the menu items, which left a very poor understanding of what was on offer. My French is adequate, but I didn't know "coquilletes" and accepted the translation that what was on offer was a risotto with seafood and a roast chicken supreme on top. What transpired was a sort of soup of macaroni pieced in a vaguely cheesy sauce, with a lump of cold chicken breast dumped on top. My husband had a reasonable piece of stake, but with a bland sauce and lukewarm chips. It felt very much as if nobody cared about the customer. At no point did anyone ask after our dining experience. We chose to leave without a dessert, feeling it would almost certainly be bland and dull at best. We will think very carefully indeed before staying at a Novotel again.
Nice hotel and super friendly staff

I have been visiting this hotel for many years and keep on coming back. The rooms are spacious and often have bathtub and separate shower, toilet is also separate. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. I love the team at breakfast led by Cathérine! Also you can have the breakfast outside right beside the lovely pool. I highly recommend this hotel.
Good stopover location

Stayed before many times, the location is a perfect stopover when travelling across France. The hotel is clean, tidy and comfortable easily reached from the autoroute. Staff always helpful and friendly.
