DO NOT STAY HERE: DEAD COCKROACHES

Reviewed 22 october, 2022

DO. NOT. STAY. HERE. I wish we read the reviews more because the experience at this “hotel” was traumatic. A previous post reiterated our exact experience. The property felt incredibly unsafe, looked like multiple parties were going on, and smelled of cigarettes and weed. When we walked into our room, it smelled disgusting and there were DEAD COCKROACHES everywhere!! I can’t believe this hotel is still operating as a customer service hotel.

DIRTY AND DISGUSTING!!!

Reviewed 7 october, 2022

I am flabbergasted that this is a Wyndham property. Utterly disgusted by the condition of the suite we were given to check into. Walked into our 2 story suite and was greeted by a foul oder. At face value, the place looked nice because the beds were made and everything was in place. But within 10 minutes of being in the 2 story suite, without our shoes on, the bottom of our socks were black with dirt, fuzz and hair. ::: images attached to review:: There were dozens of stink bugs flying around that we needed to catch and remove from the home. Visible dust and stains on the stairs, kitchen chair, bed head, bathroom sink and floor boards that could have easily been removed by a good wipe down. The toilet was never scrubbed. Light fixtures were all out with only one lightbulb working. The tv remote control had no batteries and we were told if we wanted batteries, we have drive back to the front desk and get them. The in room telephone was filled with dirt and never cleaned, nor did it work to call the front desk. We called within the hour of checking in and explained how dirty our place was. Front desk said she couldn’t do anything about it or switch us to another room. So we had to stick it out for the night. The biggest insult is the supervisor on site took our information and said someone would get back to us the next day. We received a new folio that showed they credited our account a measly $94.00. Not a single apology for the condition after I showed him multiple photos and videos. Images attached. It also appears that this place is used by locals who rent the units out and cram about 8-10 people in there, while splitting the costs and live there for months. It includes breakfast so at best, $200 per night divided by 10 people is $20 per night with breakfast included. Avoid this establishment at all cost. If you must come, please bring Lysol and other house cleaning products. Never ever, ever, ever again I am so grossed out.

Struggling suite hotel

Reviewed 16 september, 2022

The hotel is all suites with full kitchens, making it suitable for longer stays. This fact has led to the hotel being used as social housing for people who might otherwise have become homeless. These permanent guests outnumber the tourists and visitors to the area. The hotel is supposed to be non smoking but the pungent smell of weed is everywhere. The rooms are very big and offer a lot of space. We had a two bedroom / two bathroom suite which was great for a family of four. The kitchen was fairly well-equipped and we were able to cook meals. Our room was missing a coffee machine and phone. We told reception and were told they would be brought but it didn't happen. We had a further problem with a smoke alarm which was beeping every 30 seconds because of a fault. An attempt was made to repair it using a hairdryer, but it started beeping again at 1am. We were moved to another room in the middle of the night and slept very little as a result. Next day we were moved again to another room which had a coffee machine and phone. The swimming pool was not in use and we were told it hadn't passed a county inspection. We were disappointed as it was hot August weather and had booked the hotel partly because of the outdoor pool. Other than these problems, the hotel is ok, mostly well maintained though clearly well used. The breakfast is included and is a fair standard with a few hot items, a pancake maker, toast and drinks. The long term residents go in their pyjamas and take advantage of the offering. Some of them bring shopping bags and jugs to fill with food and drinks for the day. Hotel staff allow this, even when it means some items not being available for other guests. The location is good, near to the motorway, but nice and quiet. There is nothing within walking distance and the hotel does not offer meals except breakfast, so you definitely need a car. There is an Appleby's nearby which was good for meals. The outlet mall is about 10 mins drive, or 15 mins will get you to the lovely Jersey shore beaches, so it makes a good base to explore the area

Don't spend your money at this place

Reviewed 13 september, 2022

This place is dirty, poorly kept with alot of damage. It is apparent that it is being used by some as living accommodations. There were many people out smoking and partying. It was loud all night and we didn't feel safe or comfortable.
