Good Value Stay but Poor Customer Service
Good overall place to stay. I was quite disappointed that after setting up 7 rooms x 3 nights that if a guy tells the front desk my TV is not working correctly, they would try to fix it asap. After all I was the person in charge of deciding to give them 22 nights worth of business?? They never fixed it. All the US news channels were missing. I noticed they did go to the room but no one ever at least let me know that they were not able to correct the issue. I guess I will be taking my group back to a different hotel this coming month.

We have been staying at this very nice hotel twice a year since the new Durango Mazatlan road opened on our drive from New Jersey to & from our condo for the winter. We have always enjoyed our stay in this well appointed & clean hotel. The location is convenient to Mex 40D, in a safe area & right next to Tony Romo's. Best of all, there is a beautiful pool & a fabulous breakfast buffet. We can't thank the staff - from the manager, Jesus, the Bellhop, the airport shuttle driver, the front desk & even the gardners, for all their efforts trying to help us with our dead battery. Not only did we forget to unplug our electric cooler & the battery was dead as a door nail, our car was blocked in by another guest's car, who had already left for the day. These gentlemen went above & beyond being helpful to get us back on the road. They finally arranged for a local mechanic, who saved the day & got us going. They were fantastic & we are so very grateful to all of them. In the middle of it all, I forgot my purse in the ladies room. I was frantic when I discovered my mistake & it was gone. I asked at the front desk thinking I'd lost everything & they told me it had been turned in. Despite the language barrier, I did get to thank the lady who found it when by chance we were in the ladies room together a bit later & she recognized my purse. As Americans, we can only tell you that the Mexicans we have met are truly kind & caring people. The staff of this Best Western is the epitome of hospitality. Gracias & hasta luego! Tony & Connie
Poor in All Aspects
I just spent one night here, but I did not like it at all. First of all, they gave me a smokers room, without asking if I smoke (and I do not). I asked for a change, and they did it. Rooms are small. They have a couple of ugly hard chairs. Internet is TERRIBLE! it gets down all the time, so it is very difficult to work, being here. The breakfast is included, but its horrible, very few options with bad taste. And the restaurant is very small and crowded. At least, rooms are clean. Pillows are square (like the ones of your sofa of your house). Sleep quality is poor. The only good thing is the location, you have a book store, a mall, a drugstore, everything within 3 blocks.

Dear all. I am staying from Septer ber 25th until now november 4th in this property and have found several management issues in this property and serious issues with service and personal attention. Here is a short long list of the deficiencies in this property and management. 1- Bed do no have mattress are ectramly hard and not pleasant, very low quality beds. 2- The turn down service is horrible and. The frequency to change sheets is.extreamly questionable. 3- Maid service is also very deficient. Each day I return from work and the towels are missing in the room. Not only this towerls are woreout and old but also not enough to cover the property demand. 4- Internet HIFI is of very low quality speed, the routers disconnect services each 15 minutes and its almost impossible to stay connected.and do business work. 5- The rooms keys is a joke each day returning from work you have to visit the reception to reset your key or it doesnt work. 6- Very limited bilingual personnel in the property or the front desk. 7- Laundry Services are horrible, maids do not replace bags or forms in the room and each week ypu have yo.beg the reception personnel to provide you one. 8- Ice machine is not accessible to the guest. Every time you need ice in your room you have to tip and beg for it. 9- Propertymanager remain long hours in tje property does not even approaches the long term guesses and inquires feedback. I have tried to contact her in two occations to mentioned some of the present services deficiencies and am still.waiting for her phone call or email return. The property outside parking lobby and gardens well maintained. The main problem.in this property is personnel, training and above all attitude, and zi..am.sure the owners lack. Home away from home on the road again
I never want to leave Mazatlan but when we it's time to go home & we hit the road, I am always happy to be back at this hotel for our 1st night on the road. We are welcomed by Caterina & the rest of the staff(Max & the cutie pie with the glasses at the front desk). They all speak English well & bend over backwards to make sure we are comfortable. We so enjoy our stay & love the breakfast before we hit the road. The staff in the breakfast room do a great job at serving hot, delicious food. This hotel is clean & definitely above average. We look forward to coming back in Nov. when we return to Mazatlan & hope Caterina is still there to great us. She does a wonderful job at ensuring her guests feel welcome.
