Great stay and a great nights sleep!

Reviewed 1 april, 2021

We stayed one night at Avid on our way to Pawhuska. Super easy check-in. Easy access to the elevators. The rooms were the perfect size for the price that we paid. Everything was clean. The room still felt new. Bathrooms were clean. Shower was a great size. Water stayed very hot. Beds were comfy. All that made for a great nights sleep. Thank you Avid for a great stay!

Poor Customer Service and Then Some

Reviewed 24 march, 2021

Before I get to specifics let me say that this hotel has the amenities of a Motel 6 but it's in a glammed up wrapper. In our room there was no microwave, no coffee pot, a tiny refrigerator and no closet (just a few hangers on pegs). There is only one ice machine on the first floor. The two USB ports built in the desk were broken. Even though we came two weeks after Day Light Saving's Time no one had taken the time to re-set the clock in our room. The free breakfast is mostly carbs. There was a pre-wrapped breakfast sausage biscuit. Our specific problem was that neither my husband nor I could get on line with our computers. We spent a lot of time trying and both went down to the front desk at different times with our computers but we weren't ever able to connect. This was extremely inconvenient and a big waste of time. The gentleman who helped us (I'll call him Tom) said he would leave a message to the staff member who would be working in the morning (I'll call her Anne) stating that we would like some kind of compensation. The next morning, Anne said that Tom hadn't given us the correct password and that was why we couldn't get on and that she would not give us any kind of refund because since we booked through Hotels.com, Avid didn't get their full rate. She told me to call Hotels.com. I explained that if Avid's employees were poorly trained that was not Hotel.com's fault and she should give me a percentage of what I paid to make up for the inconvenience. She kept insisting I call Hotel.com and said they would call her to OK a refund. I asked what refund amount she would OK and she said that she would not OK any amount. I am stunned at the poor customer service I experienced. It was all excuses and trying to foist me off to Hotel.com even through it wasn't their fault. I called Hotel.com after checking out and they graciously gave me a $25 credit. Avid could take a lesson in customer service from Hotels.com.

Great Stay!

Wow!!! Awesome hotel and service. Super clean common area and more importantly individual rooms. The room layout was compact and smart with very comfortable bed. The blackout shades were awesome!! Very convenient with a place for everything. Small fridge in room but food 3 days of food fit perfectly. Microwave, fresh ground excellent coffee, ice and purified water available 24/7 in very clean common area. Great selection available on the grab and go breakfast bar. Outside pool and nice fitness room. Great place to stay at 81st and Mingo. Hospitals, restaurants and shopping all nearby. Will definitely stay again.

First Time Here

This was recommended by a local hospice facility nearby. It was perfect for our needs. It was very clean, bright and cheerful. The rooms are small but comfortable. We would definitely return because it is also near several shopping areas, food, etc.

Definitely won’t be back!

Reviewed 4 september, 2020

So we’ve been having to stay at the @Avid Hotels Tulsa South - Medical District since Monday due to our home being under construction. We still have a couple more nights to go, & there’s literally only (mb) 2 handfuls of people staying here, yet for some ridiculous & absurd reason, they decide to move some extremely LOUD people into a room right next door to us at 3am?! May I remind you we have our 2 dogs with us, that are (rightfully) barking at these EXTREMELY loud people that are deciding to bang things around & constantly slam doors & hang out in the hall-at 3am-Bc apparently that’s what people do on an early work morning?! Yet despite asking these people to keep it down, & calling the front desk, the manager (Amber) informs US that WE can move at 3:30am, instead of them...despite the fact they JUST got here, & we’ve been unpacked since MONDAY?! Not to mention how they’ve RUDELY continued to wake us up all throughout the night on a work night. & somehow this is OUR problem?!🤦🏼‍♀️-Now I know why this place is so empty! Here I thought businesses/the managers of businesses were supposed to strive for *GOOD* reviews & *happy* customers, not just simply “nudge off” an upsetting situation w/very unhappy customers that easily could‘ve been prevented & then turn around & put their mishap & their problem in OUR lap! We.WONT.be.back.!
