We had THE BEST vacation!

We had such an amazing time during our stay at the Marriott's Legends Edge at Bay Point! During check-in, the staff were so wonderful! They were friendly, accomodating and some of the best staff we've encountered throughout our years of travel. Our room was ready early, and we were pleasantly surprised at how spacious our two bedroom villa was! We had a pool view, and our villa was very clean! The resort met all of our needs and we would highly recommend this resort in the future! It is next door to a Sheraton resort which has a private beach, and it was equally as wonderful!
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

This is part of our time share network so we've been here 3 times so far over the years. A little different this year because couldn't do the kids' activities or watch the free movies in their movie room at night. The condo was as nice as I remembered. Ample kitchen cabinets, comfy beds, the dressers, nightstands and even the tv console table have drawers that open and close smoothly (my pet peeve when the drawers are awful with cheap furniture). There are two buildings- Azalea and Bluebelle. Views are great from either one. This time we were in Bluebelle on the fifth floor and have a view of the pool, golf course, and the water and could see boats, several traveling back and forth to Shell Island. Great place to rest, eat breakfast, have coffee, check emails, and do laundry. Spent some time at the pool- the pool is great. We were on the go the entire time. We rented bikes this time and that was a good experience- only $5 a day or $20 for a week. There's 6 miles in the shared area so it made for a nice ride. Walking out on the expansive pier on the Sheraton side is great- the sunrise and sunsets, fish jumping, birds, crabs- and there's a bar at the end of the pier. The pier has nice lighting at night, the bar is a fun place for a late drink. Also, we ran out of coffee filters, but the front desk guy gave us extra. They had done that before when we ran out of dishwasher soap. Front desk personnel were good and many of the other staff would say hello. Only negative is that the shower was quite small, didn't understand why they didn't bump it out during a remodel as there was space. Also a little warmer in the master bedroom versus the remainder of the condo. Overall, highly recommend.

Please make sure you don't use Airbnb (even if you see it offered) to reserve a condo at this resort. Host/Owner canceled my fully paid reservation 2.5 days before my trip, with no valid reason or justification, they just texted me with a "sorry" message. Sorry was I that they messed up with other reservations we had tied to this one, sorry that they ruined our three month in advance planned vacation. Be aware, and book only directly with the hotel. As the hotel personnel recommended when I called to find more about this, they couldn't find ANY reference of my reservation - They told me the condo owners are NOT allowed to post their properties in Airbnb so don't risk your vacation and the disappointment to your family that comes with it. Even though my money was reimbursed it didn't make it better as sadly was too late to find anything else this Memorial Day week so we had to stay home instead. Airbnb wouldn't/couldn't help us with other options and Marriott Edge even less as it was not their fault I went through Airbnb... They should enforce some penalties to owners that play with potential guests! situation...!

The unit was very nice. Clean and up to date. Nice view. Nice staff. Not far from good restaurants. In fact, there are restaurants at the Sheraton resort, but many restaurants in the area. Golf course very close.

As a Marriott VacationClub owner I was disappointed in this resort. Our second visit, the first was in 2015 and we thoroughly enjoyed it then. Now, the resort needs a definite update. The grounds and pool are fabulous but the villas are outdated. Furniture so worn out that I couldn’t even sit on it, ( sunk in so far that my hubby had to help me get out) to watch tv I used a dining chair. Appliances old, carpet had big stains on it and thread bare in spots. The bed was so high that I needed assistance getting into it every night (was also hard as a rock). I noticed a lot of older people at the resort, so I’m wondering if they had the same problem. Painted on doors was peeling, noticeable patches on wall that were bubbling out. Dead bugs all over the patio. Big crack at the bottom of the door that let a lot of bugs in.
Our check in person Lynn was very nice and helpful. I went to the desk the next day to get a walking map and asked the desk person there a couple of questions and his response was I have no idea (not very helpful). The ladies at the pool were fantastic, always pleasant and very personable.
Hope an updates is in the future of this resort!
