Beautiful jungle hotel just outside Uxmal gate. Also close to Choco story. Rooms are very nice but the bugs are overwhelming at night. Best to turn off your lights early. The restraunt is very nice in a giant palapa Service is outstanding BUT prices are crazy high. Only restraunt around so they got you. Recommendations bring lots of bug spray and a lunch bag of snacks
Nice lodging near Uxmal

Great location next to Uxmal ruins. We were upgraded when we arrived to stay at the Haceinda across the way. Room was large, and the bed was comfortable. Grounds of the hotel are beautiful. Onsite restaurant serves a pretty good breakfast that was included in our rate. Staff was provided very personal service and were very accomodating, friendly and professional. Wi-Fi could be better in rooms. Would recommend this property.
Can't recommend enough

What an experience. I can't recommend this place and the people that work there enough. Not only were we upgraded to the hotel next to the Casa, but Nicolas from the hotel team went an extra mile to ensure we have only the best memories: we forgot our favorite sweaters in the dinning area and realized it only at the Merida airport day later... Nicolas was able to find them, quickly confirmed that and went out of his way to find a way to get them to us in California. And he succeeded. Christmas came early this year, thank you! :)
Girls Road trip

My daughter and I rented a car in Campeche and drove to multiple Mayan ruins ending in Uxmal for the night. We stayed at Casa del Mago across the street from las ruinas, but there was no sign and it seems the property was called something else. A bit perplexing, but we just asked and friendly staff lead us to the reception where were treated with limeade from the plantation outside. There are historic photos of famous visitors including Princess Grace and Jackie O. The atmosphere was serene and romantic in the evening. Rooms were fine, very quiet until the birds chirped wonderful melodies as the sun rose. The best part of the stay was the staff. Muchas gracias to Adrian, Veronica and Carolina who made a mean mezcal Paloma. You go girl.
Did not really stay in casa del mago, but in hacienda uxmal

The location of both is great, just next to the uxmal ruins.. when we arrived, we were as many others upgraded to hacienda uxmal, so cannot really comment on casa del mago,., for the price we paid the service of hacienda uxmal was good, nice breakfast, great pool, but still the rooms need upgrade and the wifi is poor... also note, that there is nothing around so you are almost forced to have dinner in the hotel restaurant, which is quite expensive,,
