Only stayed because of the pool

We only chose this hotel because of it's swimming pool. Completely agree with all the comments about an urgent need of the rooms to be re modernise as the wall paper comes off the walls, chipped paintwork and so on. Another issue was the air con, it did not work and although we opened the window it was really hot an unpleasant to sleep at night. The swimming pool was ok but again nothing great and in need of face lift.

Our suite was in need of renovation, chipped paintwork, peeling wallpaper, bathroom was dirty, the bath needed replacing,we had to have it cleaned, the lounge area felt a like a converted storeroom, old furniture stained sofa, unfortunately all suites were similar.
Close to the City of Art and Sciences, good family room

Hotel is the newer part of Valencia and has a sleek and modern design.Very close to the City of Art and Sciences, and we were able to visit both during daytime and evening to check out the architecture during our overnight stay. There is a mall, a large department store and several good bakeries/cafes/bistros in the immediate surrounding area. Family room consists of two interconnected standard rooms with spacious bathrooms which is great for a family with older children. Parking (fee applies) is easy to access and right beneath the hotel.
It's a 20-30 minute walk to old town and Valencia's other attractions, but cabs are plentiful for and costs about 6 euros from old town to the hotel. There was a bleachy smell in the parking garage as described by other reviewers from their pool (which I did not visit). However it was barely detectable in the lobby level and not at all on the second floor.
Poor value for money

This hotel should not be 4 stars. Rooms were basic(and in need of an upgrade as wallpaper was coming off and covered in marks) No tissues provided, hairdryer didn’t work properly, The bathroom was not very clean. A lot of grime. The SPA was not included in the price and very expensive. Facilities in general were basic. The breakfast was adequate (not a huge choice) but there was not enough staff. We were there for the marathon and the queue for breakfast on day of marathon was too long to wait. They just couldn’t cope with numbers. The lady greeting in the restaurant was really lovely though.

Nice clean new hotel, poor staff customer service and not one Iron available for the whole hotel. Spa facilities are not included in the room price and you need to bring your hotel room towel, not great if you have checked out and wanted a few hours to spend chilling.
