A nice hotel
Me and my wife stayed here while visiting Venice which was a ten minute tram ride away. We had a lovely room a choice of breakfast all very clean and tidy at a reasonable price the staff were very polite and so helpful with any queries we had we would stay here again if visiting Venice .
Purchased a last minute wowcher Holliday, including the hotel San Carlo, Mestre, Venice. As it wasn’t a bank breaking trip, we didn’t really expect much from the hotel, but upon arrival, we were greeted by lovely staff, a clean, large size room with good facilities. Staff were very helpful with transportation and information of the city. Hotel is located perfectly, 20 mins from the airport (£8pp bus ride) and a 5 minute walk away from the tram to take you to and from the heart of Venice (£3 return pp). Couldn’t fault it, will definitely be using again.
Excellent value for money
A really convenient spot to stay while exploring Venice. Don't expect luxury, this is a budget-priced place but our room was clean, spacious, light and had a large comfortable bed & everything we needed as just a place to sleep. I really hadn't expected too much for the price paid and was pleasantly surprised by the friendly but efficient welcome & overall standard. We were able to park the car, at no extra cost, right behind the hotel, & a 5 mins walk away is the fast tram service in to Venice central bus station - really easy. Best to buy the all-in ticket from hotel reception ( tram/bus & vaporetto - not cheap by far better value than buying each fare separately, and so much more convenient). Breakfast is limited but OK. For our visit the hotel w as clean and seemed well run. We'd definitely stay here again as an inexpensive base for Venice.
Not a bad hotel, good area, but unfriendly staff
We stayed there for 3 nights. I like the fact that the location is very close to T1 tram; that takes you to Venice. The rooms are little small and the the air conditioning doesn’t work at all. It is just outside circulated air. The washroom is super small. The shower is so tiny that a common North American can’t even fit properly. You have to be a 100 lbs person to actually use the shower. The WiFi is very weak there, and max speed I got for 1.5 Mbps. There is a safe in the room which is good to have. The worst thing of the hotel is the staff. The night and evening staff is fine, but the morning staff (the lady at the reception) is extremely mean, and rude. She doesn’t help you, and Infact gives you wrong information. She gave us completely wrong information on what boat to take for Burano, and that wasted one hour for us when we got to Venice. I won’t recommend this hotel.
Nice little spot
A bit apprenensive when we pulled up outside, but needn't havent worried. Place was spotless. Ideally situated for tram into Venice Centre Staff were lovely and although the language barrier was a problem for me (typical English holiday maker) they went out of their way to help as much as possible Would recommend
