For budget travellers wanting to visit Venice
If you want to visit Venice, but don't want to spend a fortune for the accommodation, this could be the place, although it is not located in Venice, but in Mestre, the last town on the mainland before Venice. Both are connected by train (it takes a few minutes) and-I think- by train too. This hotel is not far from Mestre's train station and the stop for the airport buses (a ten minutes walk), while there are as well several dining options around, plus an Interspar supermarket. However, it is true that the hotel and the hotel area are ugly. And it is also true that this tired property offers basic accommodation with shared bathrooms (my room only had a single bed, a desk, a table, a wardrobe and a washbasin). Nevertheless, both my room and also the shared bathroom were clean, so it was ok for one night.
Stayed here for 4 nights while in town. Basic and clean rooms. Friendly staff. Affordable rates. Supermarket across the main street and some fast food places. 10 min. walk to Mestre railway station from where you can easily reach Santa Lucia station in Downtown Venice and express bus to Marco Polo airport.
Good place for spending the night
Just needed a room for spending a night as close as possible to airport bus. It’s a good place for spending the night. 10 minutes walk to Mestre bus station and buses to airports as well as to train station.
Myself and my wife where travelling Europe on our motorcycle. We wanted to visit Venice and decided to leave the bike outside of Venice so we came across this “Hotel” with free on site secure parking at a reasonable price. Everything was great till we got to the room. The off street parking was behind gates. The receptionist upon welcome was awesome and full of information and could be more helpful. There was a shop two minutes away and the bus stop was the same with a direct route to Venice. We got our keys to the room and when we got inside it must have been nearly 40 degrees inside. No air con. Just a little fan (which I let my wife have). The room consisted of a double bed. A single bed. A wardrobe and dresser and a sink in the corner of the room. The room was dirty. Water coming out on the floor at the sink. Bins wherent changed, just emptied but you could see there was blood or something of a red nature in the bin. The bathroom is a shared bathroom. The shower looks like it was never bleached in it life and we both felt very confined as the shower was tiny and you try not to touch anything. We stayed two nights and only for we couldn’t get anywhere else with off street parking we wouldn’t have even stayed the first night. We tried to stay out of the “hotel” as much as possible. We where gone at 7am and didn’t come home till about 2am the next day just so all we had to do was sleep and go.
very nice place to stay
the hotel is situated 30seconds from the bus stop and supermarket and just 10min from venice . the room was big and clean and i sleept very well. the sheared bathroom was always clean and it wasn't so bad to shear it with other 2 rooms. the receptionist was so wonderfull and helpful and explaned us everything we needed to know about what to do in venice. will probably return back !!!
