Great Location, Disappointing Room

Close friends and family love this place and regularly stay here. It’s located on one of the most desirable (and busiest) streets in the city center so it’s great for walking around—everything you need is right there. The hotel has an old world charm to it and a number of nooks and areas throughout the hotel to sit and chat, enjoy a drink, even work remotely in a nice and private conference room should the need arise. The staff was helpful and quick to accomodate any requests.
On the downside: We had some street noise and a nightly cigarette smell coming into our bathroom from somewhere. The room (or at least the suite we had) was outdated, generic and poorly decorated compared to the rest of the hotel. Finally, the sheets were scratchy and the bed and pillows so hard we almost checked out after the first night, it was so difficult to sleep there. To the hotel’s credit, they immediately put a soft(er) topper on the mattress and brought us several softer pillows to try the next day, which improved the rest of our stay.
Central, Clean & Kind

This is a great hotel. The staff always had a smile, the rooms were immaculate and it was right in the middle of everything in Verona. The rooms aren't anything special, but the beds are comfortable, the WiFi is strong and the bathroom was a great size for Italy. I would recommend this for anyone coming to Verona that wants to be central to everything.

Front of house staff was excellent from a friendly check in , a welcome drink and even making dinner reservations for us , couldn’t of been better we shall return in the future , even when checking out the front of house staff was friendly and professional .
Dark, somber hotel with welcome to match!

After traveling around Italy for a week, we felt we had been ejected into hostile territory upon arrival at the Accademia Hotel. The building, located on a narrow road has virtually no natural light so in addition to being somber (photos on its website are deceiving), the furniture is old fashioned. The two female day time reception clerks are unfriendly and staid.
We had asked for a quiet room away from an elevator and were given a room caddy corner to - an elevator ! The second room had a narrow door opening up to a courtyard which allowed a bit of natural light. The plastic cups for tea are tacky.
Two stars for its location but there are many hotels centrally located near the Arena. Overall, this is a hotel for the non-living !

Fabulous location, steps from Via Mazzini. Lots of shops and restaurants near hotel.
The hotel is old-world Italian charm, crystal chandeliers, welcoming drinks and snacks in the most glorious room filled with sumptuous leather sofas. The breakfast buffet was very good and the staff was extremely attentive. A late check was the cherry on the cake! My room was really beautiful. This is the cleanest hotel I have been in. Very accommodating staff! It is my second stay at this hotel and I can't wait to return.
