Stayed here a few nights on a work trip. Parking and check in was friendly and quick, just what you want. The place is spotless clean. From the lobby to the elevator, the halls, and the room, all decor, floors, wall coverings are top notch. The best part is the bed, linen, and pillows.....the best of all hotels! The one downside is I could hear sound from the adjacent room. I had one side of adjoining rooms with the door between. The door was closed and locked however I could hear the other room on the phone and the TV.
Clean, classic victorian decor with a friendly, attentive staff. Great location to the downtown area. Walking distance to many attractions and restaurants. We had a lovely little staycation and will be back.
Stayed for several nights. Always a great stay. Friendly, personable staff. Great rooms and very comfortable. Love the smart TVs. Only issue is wifi is hit and miss and the fitness area needs some TLC. Centrally located and an easy walk to the harbor or downtown. Still my goto Victoria place to stay.
Wife and I stayed here for a staycation, great location in the downtown area, we walked to everything. The room was a little dated but still no issues. Bed was super comfy, room had a fridge in it, and they had Netflix hooked up to the TV. Did not try the restaurant, but the gym and pool area were sufficient as well. The customer service was fantastic as well, everyone we came across was super friendly and helpful. If we do another staycation we would definitely stay here again.
Dated, dirty, and lacking BonVoy recognition
This hotel does offer a wonderful location in downtown Victoria. That's about all it has going for it. The lobby and M Lounge are modern, updated, and clean... but that all goes away once you step into the elevators and guest rooms. Stale, old, dated, and a little dirty. As a Lifetime Titanium Bonvoy member they refused to upgrade me, even though suites were available. They "offered" the upgrade if I was willing to pay for it. I guess that's their prerogative, but having stayed at countless beautiful Bonvoy properties around the world, I have never once been asked to "pay" for an upgrade if a suite was available. Other properties understand loyalty and if they are able, the will upgrade you to some of the best rooms or suites in the house, even though they don't have to.. they still do. I'm generally a very low maintenance guest, but this place just seemed to lack genuine service and care. Gym: Sparse equipment options, dirty Room service: average M Lounge: Excellent! great selection of snacks and buffet. Save your money and stay at the Delta Ocean Point or Westin Bear Mountain resort. They recognize loyalty, deliver great value and impeccable service for a stay that is miles ahead of this place.
