another great stay!
had another great stay at the HGI Ft. Myers! Hotel is being renovated and is CLEAN! Meeting rooms work great for my monthly ServSafe classes and staff is fantastic! Got to use the pool this time, lots of parking and restaurants & bars nearby. Easy drive to the beach as well.
Early morning check-in with late check-out. Everything was great except housekeeping knocked twice before my scheduled checkout. I just thought that housekeeping should know who has late check-out and not check on those rooms until after that time.
Seedy at best
Started out by trying to stick me in a dumpy mildew infested room. The hallways are covered in stains and the service is slow at best. The food offered was terrible and the bar staff just stood around complaining about low pay as they ignored customers. Highly disappointed in Hilton, more than once lately.
Average Stay; Not Terrible/Not Great
We selected this location due to the proximity to the Red Sox Jet Blue spring training stadium and had stayed there several years before. We selected a Junior Suite since we have two preschool age children. The room had a split layout but made it seem very small. I loved the separate area for the kids to sleep but it did not seem like a suite (or junior suite) at all. Price was highish ($400 with taxes and fees)...I think because it's March prime season for Florida. We are Florida residents traveling from the SE coast. Not sure we would stay again. Maybe if we did just a regular room and for sure wait until after the renovations are completed. Location was great. Pool left more to be desired. Luckily we didn't spend much time other than sleeping there so it worked for us. Staff was great, greeted with fresh made cookies, etc. Locked our keys in the room, no issues getting another key.
Disgruntled Restaurant Staff
Restaurant staff member very disgruntled, I was yelled at for wanting to order an additional item. Credit card machine was down for two weeks. This definitely wasn't the Hilton brand I expected. Please get it together
