Poor customer service
I stayed here as it was close to GW Hospital where my husband had surgery. I fell getting in hotel elevator and received head & facial injuries, went to GW Hospital ER for treatment including stitches. I reported incident 3 times to desk clerks (they couldn't find report) and management company. It has been 2 months and I have not heard from the GM or the management company about this. I am very shocked because this is not the way Marriott treats their guests.

Pros Great Location Rooms are big Staff was friendly Breakfast is delicious AC is cold Cons Ac is noisy Plugs didn't work Threads from the carpet is coming off Ac is really dusty Marks on the wall Heard door opening and closing Overall I am definitely not going to come back whenever I am in the Area .
Good location, otherwise average
I stayed a night, as others have remarked its in a good quiet area of the west end near Foggy Bottom Metro and GWU and the hospital. The hotel is showing age, the room was spacious but on the tired side. There was no coffee in the room and none of the soap / shampoo dispensers worked or had anything to use while using the shower. Service was lacking, they had no breakfast stated due to covid but they could at least try like other hotels do and put out some foot to take away. Frustratingly they had a bunch of fire alarm testing and people trying to get into rooms to look at equipment- it really made it hard to work and have some peace and quiet on a Monday morning, I left earlier due to this as as it was very loud. So a few misses in my book- no soap/shampoo, no coffee, no breakfast, and very intrusive system tests.
A little dated but good for price and location
The hotel is ideally located and the rooms are clean and spacious. The decor is dated but the rooms were very comfortable. During COVID all the dishes were washed and left in the machine for me to see. Service was good as well as security. I have family nearby and will come again.
Near just about everything
At a quick glance it looks like a boarding house but when get closer you realize it is hotel. I had some things to do in Washington, DC and, for me, this was pretty much the placer to stay. Close to everything and within walking distance to several restaurants, etc. The staff at the hotel was very friendly and down to earth. Any problems or questions, they were happy to help
