We stay here 3-4 times a year in our travels. Always friendly and helpful. Would recommend this hotel for your stays. We brought our dog on the last visit and all went well at check in and departure. Great breakfast
A weekend away me myself and i
Very rare do I get away by myself and I’m so very glad it was here! Everyone was awesome and I had my very own jet tub I planted myself in with a good book. I notified them on my booking I am coming to relax and they did a excellent job making sure I wasnt disturbed! Very clean, you can tell they are upgrading, but they are doing a excellent job keeping it kept. I didn’t make it to breakfast or outside my room very often, but I will for sure my next stay. Thank you all for a very fantastic weekend!
Floors needed to be vacuumed around all the edges. Sheets didn't really fit. Bed was the worse I have ever slept on. I requested a wake up call, NEVER got my wake up call. I will not be back. Some of the outlets didn't work
Dirty & Filthy - Stay at Holiday Inn Express instead
I arrived to the hotel, having booked the reservation several days in advance. It took approximately 45 minutes to check myself and 2 of my coworkers into our rooms. We never received an apology for the delay, only excuses. Once we were checked in, I went upstairs to my room. Before entering the room, I noticed the hallway floors were filthy. They hadn't been vacuumed in several days. Upon entering the hotel room, I was disgusted. The room smelled awful (I know that one of my coworkers even purchased 4 air fresheners for his room), the floors were dirty, and the bathroom was abysmal. The towel stand was covered in dust, there were stains on the bathroom sink, and worse of all, there was urine left on the toilet (I have pictures). All of these issues resulted in a very upsetting stay at your hotel. We weren't expecting a 5 star experience, but not having the ability to offer a clean room is just pathetic. Our experience certainly left a sour taste in our mouth. We ended up leaving and staying at the Holiday Inn Express across the street. If LaQuinta wants to continue business with our company moving forward, they need to earn it back.
Better but not great
Having stayed in a LaQuinta in Vicksburg the night before that I reviewed with 2 stars (that was generous) and one of the dirtiest hotels I've ever stayed in, this LaQuinta was slightly better. It's in a good location with good restaurants nearby. Again, however, I don't know what's going on with LaQuinta since it was purchased by Wyndham but, like the one in Vicksburg, it appeared the carpets in this hotel hadn't been vacuumed in days or weeks as well and were in serious need of a good cleaning. The personnel were OK but to say "friendly" or "welcoming" would be a stretch. They have a good area behind their facility for pet walking if you're traveling with pets.
