Beautiful
Very pleasant hotel ! Nice room with private lawn ! Accès to incredible thermal bath and spa ! Great food and very nice breakfast buffet. Will definitely be back as soon as possible. Just loved it 💗 !
Great hotel and services at good price
I couldn't love it more! The open-air swimming pool was awesome, steaming bath and the sparkling pool was great! One thing I didn't like was the sauna since it is a naked sauna, I understand it was for a hygienic reason but still didn't feel very comfortable! Dinner and breakfast were good, can be improved in term of quality but I think it is not easy for having everything on top of a mountain.
Standard restaurant. Awesome scenery.
We popped in for a quick lunch on the outdoor terrace in a sunny early-December afternoon. The hotel seems to be rich in stars and endowed with spa and mineral bath. We got blankets and wrapped up our thighs. Heads and shoulders were warmed by the generous sun. The menu is rather standard. The portions are generous but all in all the food is standard. Service nice. The most valuable asset of the venue is its awesome view of the snow covered peaks.
St. Patrick's Day at the Rigi Kaltbad! Super incredible and something everyone should do
My wife is swiss and from N of Lucern so it was easy to book a special stay for one St. Patrick's day night at this amazing, historical place before we arrived. Took the cable car up in the afternooon, after a pleasant drive from Inwil to Weggis, and enjoyed a sunny March 17 afternoon, quaffing a brew at a nearby inn. Checked in and immediately hit the spa for some amazing afternoon views from the outdoor pool and steamed away in the suana where they pump the steam thru fresh herbs, all this and the stunning design and use of granite at this spa. With it being March, I could step outside and do my snow bath. Afterwards, it was dinnertime. As it was a Thursday, not many folks were up here this time of year but we had a very intimate dinner with top shelf personal service and world class food... so nice. Time to settle into our room. The rooms are swiss designed with clean lines with stark white walls that are decorated with very colorful art. Super comfy beds in the spacious enough rooms and excellent bathrooms. More magic comes at sunrise with the view of the alps from your window, which you will absolutely want to photograph or take video of. I travel for the food and the breakfast buffet continued to astound. Classic offerings but also, some great scrambled eggs and bacon. Of course, a morning mimosa was to be had. Took an amazing morning walk around this area, only accessible by rail car or a cable car and read much about the history of this amazing hotel. We checked out and took a few routes from Weggis (Mark Twain loved this town) to Inwil, which included a sunny boat ride. Excellent service from everyone, felt super special as we were the few around for this time of year, and actually got a great deal by pre booking with the hotel as they have specials. If everyone in the world had a chance to do what we did and check this place out, the world would be a better place.
