A/C DOESN'T WORK BUT THEY CLAIM USER ERROR - TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE BY MANAGER - DO NOT STAY HERE

The hotel is beautiful, very inviting, etc. but we had a TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE with our stay. We arrived to our reservation at night and learned quickly that the A/C was not working. Front desk paged maintenance but we never received any service on the unit (code flashing indicated need to add refrigerant). Promised next morning to comp the room. Room was never comped and the manager was UNBELIEVABLY RUDE. Hotel is brand new. Lots of kinks to work out, including A/C. But they will no doubt keep renting that room and have no desire to fix it (they'll say it's "user error"). Terrible. We will not stay here again.

Bait and switch

I reserved a room with two queens and a pull out sofa. They took my four children and I to a room with a king bed and when I told her this was not the room I reserved she showed me about four other rooms, none of which had heat or air (or fan for air circulation) and ended up opening up the door to the other room to make a suite and said it was rented for the weekend but for now just take both rooms. I kept checkinf back and was told just to stay there, until another lady knocked on the door about halfway through our stay saying we had to pay for both rooms and it was my fault for booking the wrong room. She later called saying there was a misunderstanding and said from that night on we would be charged for the extra room. There was also no heat/air in that suite so it got miserably stuffy with no ability to open windows. On top of this, there were minor inconveniences. There was a tack sticking out of the couch that cut my six year old. The waffle maker was out of order our whole 9 day stay. The pool burns your eyes and was so crowded the last time we tried it, the kid to adult ratio was so unsafe we gave up. The weather stripping in between the rooms fell so it was face level walking through the rooms. Also, my 4 year old drank the chocolate milk from the breakfast to find it was expired.

Newish Holiday Inn Express quiet but so so breakfast

The hotel is right by the freeway, but we heard no highway noise at all. Got good sleep. Check in was fine. Checked out on line and bill was supposed to be emailed but I never got it and going to IHG website I get the message that "The ability to access your hotel bill is not supported by Cincinnati North - Liberty Way at this time." This seems like an IHG problem but not the hotel but still wtf? Breakfast had those egg disks rather than actual eggs. Wi-fi was fine. Bed was comfortable. I'd try someplace else next time.

This is a newer facility. Front desk staff needs hospitality training. No greeting at check in other than someone just asking if I had ID. At check out no inquiry as to how we liked our stay. There were some issues and when I brought them up she just handed me the General Mgr business card. The USB ports were unusable as they were pushed way in. Biggest issue was ceiling damage in the bathroom where the toilet on the above floor had leaked staining the ceiling and leaving mold. Room 412. Wrote a lengthy email to the Gen. Mgr but no response. Also gave a poor survey and requested IHG to contact me with no response. Have experienced similar issues at other HIE. Doubtful if we will return as it is obvious they could care less. Even if it costs more, it is worth going somewhere else!

This hotel has really slipped

Let me start by saying that I am an IHG rewards member and have stayed at this location 5 times previously, each time for 3-5 nights. Things this time were different. Upon checking in we were greeted by a rude hostess who seemed bothered that we were there. We were given the keys to our room only to find that it was not ready and we had to stand and wait for access in the hallway since we had brought all of our luggage for a 10 day trip to the room. We found that the white bedspread was stained and there was no top sheet nor a blanket or a clock/radio. We called about the bed situation and were told they do not use blankets and we could come downstairs and get a sheet. It was our responsibility to make up the bed. The ice machine on our floor did not work and in fact only one did work. We asked for toilet paper for 3 days and never got any except when I took one from a housekeeping cart. However, I could not put the toilet paper in the room because it was just after checkout time and our key was inoperable. I put the toilet paper on the floor and went downstairs and found that they had incorrectly had us checking out after 3 nights when I clearly prepaid for 4 nights. When I returned to our room the toilet paper was gone. That is probably the only thing that they picked up from the floor in the common areas as the carpets were not swept for days and there was debris everywhere. I complained to the manager who was uninterested and never apologized. Another family was also waiting to talk to the manager and they had to make their own bed when one of the beds in the room had no bedding on it. By the way, I previously reviewed this property and it was exceptional. Someone needs to wake up here or this will become a Motel 6!
