Nice quiet hotel

Even though the pool broke while we were here, I am not leaving a bad review. They let us get a refund for the days we were going to stay here due to pool being broken. I was very happy with how friendly everyone with for the pool debacle. This hotel is in a perfect location between Hershey and Lancaster. The breakfast was good with lots of choices, and they kept it very clean. The hotel itself is very quiet and peaceful. My mother-in-law lost her earring down the drain and the maintenance person went out of their way to take apart the trap in the sink to get her earring. Not many places would go to that much effort to help with something as simple as that. This hotel is off the beaten path, but the time I did spend here was quite enjoyable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a nice simple hotel in between Lancaster and Hershey. I would stay here again.

Being the Labor Day weekend we had to choose a different hotel from our usual. It reviewed well with other travelers and I do agree. The only thing keeping this from being a perfect rating was the person at the desk checking us in. He failed to tell us at any point that they are not providing any form of breakfast. We were expecting this and found it a surprise our first morning which caused us to change our plans quickly which in turn ran us late for our morning schedule. With my work I have traveled several times during the COVID situation and all hotels have found a way to continue providing a breakfast to their guests...here they failed to do that in any form yet they continue to advertise this as part of your stay and again their staff did not share this info upon check-in. This person kept your hotel from receiving a perfect rating, this is info every guest should have at the time they check-in.

The place seemed good. Hints of not being kept up. My stay was for three nights. There was no daily room service. No clean towels. I suppose I could ask at the desk. I was not around in the day time so I have comment of the staff...I saw only the guy at the front desk. He was helpful but not friendly. Breakfast was self serve. Packaged items.

I do not give bad reviews on Tripadvisor, I do everything I can to handle issues directly. However, I have given the manager 2 weeks to respond to my complaint, which I made through customer service. We arrived Sat. 9/4. The place had a musty smell, which I understand as it has been such a wet season. Checked into our room (#309). Took a quick nap before our show that night. The room was not very clean, the bed skirts had stains, there was a coin hiding under the mattress, etc. We got ready to leave for our show but the door would not stay locked. Called the front desk & Demitri came to check on the door. It would not stay locked. He said he would get maintenance as they had no other rooms. Maitenance did not show up, but Demitri changed us to room # 101. We put our bags in the room & left for our show. When we got back the musty smell in the room was horrible. I had to keep a mask on all night. Went down around 6:30 to find the hotel had NO staff overnight. Waited until just after 7 to have breakfast (see pictures) & get the heck out of there. I contacted the corporate phone # on Tuesday to register a complaint. They took my complaint, but suggested I contact the hotel & speak to the manager. He was rude & angry at me for being angry. He did not "understand" what I meant by the "musty" smell & he hung up on me. The only positive was how Demitri tried to address the situation. The few bucks saved was not worth the stay at this place & NEVER AGAIN.
Nightmare vacation weekend!

Worst vacation ever.. Room has musty smell which was not good for my asthma. Free breakfast was coffee and a pre packaged muffin not worth looking at. At $378. for 2 nights I expected more. When we told them we needed more towels we had to go to the front desk to get them. My best friend slipped on the bathroom floor at 4 am and broke her ribs. When I stopped to tell the person at the front desk that we were leaving a day early to take her to the hospital at home he showed no concern for her injuries and offered no help. Also asked to be refunded for the unused night as they were fully booked and people still calling for rooms while I was at the desk. I got the standard answer that they need 24 hrs notice. Sorry I didn't know she was going to fall 24 hrs in advance. The bed cover had blood stains on it under the bottom side which I didnt notice till I was packing to leave. I only wish someone had shared this information before I booked my room. I hope this helps someone from avoiding a bad experience.
