Great Deal, Great Location, Great Stay

I used this as by home base for a week. I was traveling around the Rhein region. This hotel is new, clean, and the staff are great. I flew in to Frankfurt, and rented a car, so the parking at the hotel was important to me. I was able to use the underground parking each night, but the outside parking was safe as well. The included breakfast in the morning was a great way to start the day. Hating myself for not knowing more German than I do, but the staff was fluent and put up with me butchering their language. About a 20 minute walk to the train station, but right outside the US base if your visiting family there.

I booked 5 rooms in this hotel via hotels.com. When we arrived, they had only held two of the five. Quite clearly not the customer's fault. And yet, I was made to wait over half an hour with business clients whilst other guests were checked in and the Wifi router was restarted. I was obviously an irritation. The hotel was fully booked save for one room. So I booked this room so that my three clients could stay here whilst I and a colleague found somewhere else. In the morning, one of my clients told me that they had been charged €169 for their room, despite the original rooms - 'lost' by the hotel being booked at €129.
Despite direct requests and requests via hotels.com, the hotel has not confirmed whether they have taken, or intend to take the full 5-room amount that was reserved on my credit card.
Throughout the whole ordeal, I and my clients were given no sense of the hotel treating this unfortunate incident with any urgency. Possibly not surprising as there was a staff of 2 people, one of whom seemed very inexperienced, to check people in, work the bar and restart faulty wifi routers.
Its a brand new hotel, yes, but from a Holiday Inn I would expect far more. And as far as the customer service is concerned, the staff and said hotel chain should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves.

I was very happy with my stay, everything you need was there: friendly stuff, comfy beds with high quality mattresses comfortable and very clean rooms and tasty breakfast included in the price!
Will come back again!
Not a good start but a good hotel

Booking; was difficult. Tried to book through site but they announced a payment in advance eventhough i booked the right rate. Ask support the question they did not understand but said it must be a policy from the hotel. Later found it on booking.com and there i could book the correct rate at the normal conditions.
Check in; parking lot found but i could bit directly find the entrance. No signs yet. Parking garage was not ready yet. After that it was very good. Frendly receptionist however dis not get my points and was not recognized as platinum member. Not a issue for me but if you say you do you must do.
Room; good size. Everything very new and good state.
Breakfast; what you expect at hiex.
Checkout a bit slow but not irritational.
3 stars due to unclear booking and seemingly not really interested head office.

This is a brand new hotel with modern facilities. Comfortable and well soundproofed. Near main routes. Car park is ample but not yet secure... No doubt it will be when finished. Breakfast was acceptable but not yet up to the standard of other HI Expresses. Plenty of seating. There is not yet food in the evening which is inconvenient as nothing locally about a 10 minute drive to the thriving restaurants and bars in town. Reception was quick and efficient but staff don't yet give friendly eye contact and welcome when they see you. A small point but could be better motives.
Would stay again because this will no doubt improve and is a welcome development in the area.
