Superbly located, cosy hotel

Reviewed 7 july, 2019

This hotel is situated in front of the main station and within walking distance of the historic area. There are supermarkets and bakeries in the shopping street nearby, as well as in the station. I was upgraded to a twin room in the attic which was atmospheric, and enjoyed the view of the station square. The room was clean and spacious, the bathroom appeared to have been refurbished recently, the bed was comfy. The noise from the traffic/passers-by was not so bad as long as the window was closed. There was a lift. The receptionists (Sabrina and Stefan) were very friendly and helpful. There was a hostel two doors away, but I was glad that I stayed at this proper hotel! Highly recommended to rail travellers like me.

Very bad reception...

When you lie about winning € 7,5, you're just woeful... When you tell the customer, '' Because you stay 5 days (4 nights) we offer you tomorrow as the last day of free breakfast, all I could say was 'Thank you' You finally charge me, you say when you do not do that, and the excuse, you may not know so good English (the receptionist) did not tell you right, how can you not know English or the reception ???? I am sorry.

Very bare bones hotel. WiFi didn’t work, one English tv channel and sparse room. Shower small but powerful, bed wasn’t uncomfortable and everyone was really nice. It is also directly across from train and very convenient. No real issues - just little pricey for what you get.

Home to the Unpretentious Travelers

This hotel is very well located less than 200 meters away as soon as you step out of the Wurzburg train station. The city and major scenic spots are all within walking distances, with rows of eateries and shops of different varieties and prices along the way in this beautiful city. The hotel itself offers rooms of reasonable size, well ventilated especially if you open the windows with unblocked views of the park or square outside. There is central heating, however no air-con but the breeze from the open windows is refreshing even for the hot months. Staff very friendly and helpful. Like home. Definitely good value.

Smells like dead fish

The rooms smells like dead fish. After we told the staff about it. They said they could' smell anything. Unless can't taste and smell anything I would' believe it. Worst hotel ever. I rather sleep on the street.
