Really fantastic stay right in the City Centre
Really had a wonderful stay at Middletons. Room upgrade on arrival by very helpful staff. Room was a very comfortable room with lovely extras such as coffee machine, iron and ironing board and fridge with fresh milk and bottles of water. Shower was absolutely fantastic! Breakfast was delicious, fresh and good quality products. Very local and handy for the City Centre but equally very quiet. Room 38. Would definitely recommend.
Good value for money and very clean
Lovely room, ideal for Son who enjoyed this stay in the separate lounge area in the room on the bed settee. Very clean and breakfast was great. Had a drink and food in the bar area no complaints at all, would stay again. 5 minutes walk from the centre of York. Beautiful building In a quiet area of York.
We will definitely be back...
We stayed in the modern block of the hotel, the room was perfect: elegant and modern furnishings; very comfortable bed; coffee machine as well as kettle; and, a very nice addition over the usual, there was fresh milk and mugs, perfect for a proper cup of tea. Breakfast was excellent quality and we ate one evening meal too. All of the above would be enough to be a good recommendation for a hotel, but the most important thing about this place was the staff, who were absolutely excellent. Nothing was too much trouble, they were good-humoured, polite, generous with their time… There is just one thing I should mention, do not be put off by first appearances when you arrive through the car park. The beautiful old buildings and garden displayed in the photos are not apparent, all that is visible at first are cars, concrete and a modern block. If you come the other way I am sure first impressions are different, but the taxis tend to drop you off by the car park and it feels like you are going in the back door, tradesman entrance.
Wonderful Hotel and Great Location.
So glad to have found this hotel,the staff were great and could'nt do enough for us. We had a beautiful room looks like very recent refurb. Great breakfast and again staff were wonderful ( must be difficult for them with restrictions and regulations) 10 minute walk into centre Will definately return.
Lovely stat
Found this lovely hotel, in the centre of York. Arrived at reception, and informed the car park was available to use, (mentioned they were resurfacing it when we booked it). Covid secure throughout our stay. Went through reception and Informed where our room was. A nice room, clean and airy. Everything we needed. We decided to go for a walk into York and the receptionist asked if we were happy with our room and if she could do anything for us. Before we went out for the evening we had a drink in the bar area, served by a polite and courteous young lady. Next morning we went for breakfast and had a lovely breakfast. Filled up, enough to last til the evening. We stayed for two nights and throughout everyone was as you would expect very professional. A great hotel.
