friendly family accomodation

I stayed at the Aparthotel Zaton and was quite surprised how friendly and convenient the place was. I enjoyed a spacious and clean room. From the balcony you can enjoy the Zadar rural landscape. I did not use the swimming pool area, but it also looked very well maintained. The owners were quite friendly and relaxed. Breakfast was prepared well, so you can start the day easily. Only the the quality of coffee could be improved. Shade in the parking area was handy. I definitely recommend this place as a perfect spot for exploring the northern tip of Zadar peninsula.

Staff so helpful and cheerful. Location close enough to bars restaurants beach etc but just enough distance away to be perfectly quiet, great pool too. Anything we mentioned we were offered even a lift to next village! We WILL be back 😏
Clean and calm

I stayed here for a week with my sister in July 2017. Our family we staying at the nearby Zaton resort and at first we were disappointed it had sold out, but as the week went on we were pleased to be a little removed in this Aparthotel.
It is basic but the beds were comfy, the linen seemed new and crisp and the room was very clean and we had fresh towels every other day.
The buffet breakfast was decent for a basic hotel; fresh bread roll, tomato and cucumber, meat, cheese, cereal, yoghurt, juice and coffee. There were even some boiled eggs on one day (not sure why!).
The pool area is clean and very quiet, with some nice sun loungers.
The staff were lovely and very friendly and helpful - they spent quite a while explaining the local bus timetable to us!
It is on it's own so you need to be happy to walk or have a car, but if you want clean and calm accommodation near a nice beach then I'd recommend this hotel.

We are 2 adults and 1 child and we stayed in studio in the 3rd floor. The hotel and the beaches are convenient for children so it´s good to know if you plan calm holidays :-)
The room was spacious, but the cleaning was really basic - when we arrived, there was dust on all furniture, in the bathroom there were hairs on the floor, rugs were full of sand. The furniture is a bit lowcost - drawers in the closet were broken, the drawer with cutlery was difficult to close. Kitchenette is very small, but is equipped with enough basic crockery and with a small fridge. The biggest problem was an awful smell coming probably from the air condition? When I complained at the reception, the result was that they turned on the air condition and opened the window - but I don´t recommend you to sleep with opened windows during the night because of mosquitoes.
Breakfast buffet is classic - bread, buns, ham, cheese, salami, marmelade, muesli, sometimes yoghurt, herbal or fruit tea, coffee, cacao, juice - every day the same, don´t expect fruit or vegetables.
The stuff is pleasant, despite they didn´t solve our problem, at least they smile at you and they always greet you.
Internet connection is available at the lobby and sometimes at the breakfast room, the speed is variable.
There is no elevator so if you have got walking problems ask for lower floor.
