Policoro is a charming seaside resort on Jonian Cost, located few kilometers from Matera. Its origins are very old and are still preserved in the National Museum of Siritide and in the ruins of the two old centers of Herakleia and Siris.

Description

Visit the Archeological Museum of Siritide, in which you could admire pottery, votive statues and grave goods and the Archeological Park Siris-Herakleia, which includes the old acropolis of Heraclea and the urban sanctuaries dedicated to the worship of Dionysus and Demetra.
