After being picked up at your hotel you'll be getting on the boat at La Paz' downtown pier. A short boat ride, generally around 30 min., takes you to the shallow waters off the Mogote peninsula where the whale sharks gather to feed on plankton.


The Whale Shark is completely harmless to humans since it is a slow swimming filter feeder. Important informations

  • We recommend bringing waterproof clothing, a hat, sunscreen and footwear with rubber soles. You need to wear a swimming costume or trunks and water shoes.
