Safety Precautions Against Covid in Signs, Not in Practice.
We made reservations at the Holiday Inn as they had excellent reviews. We chose incorrectly and will never go back. Entering the Lobby , signs were posted all over for masks and social distancing. However, you could not get past the lobby and to the elevator as there was a wedding party there. No one was masked . No one even stepped aside so we could reach the elevators. They stood shoulder to shoulder watching their flower arranging in process oblivious to others. Later we went downstairs to exit and find take out dinners . The girl behind the desk was unmasked taking care of a check-in, also unmasked. Still, the signs were posted throughout ; the hand sanitizer was all over was as well . It was all signs; no practice. Upon return, we decided for safety , to use the back entrance. Actually, it was the only way to go as the wedding party was still occupying the front rooms. Yet, one run to get something out of the car had me exiting an elevator as two large people , unmasked, nearly squeezed me in the elevator. Why should they worry, by now the hotel was hosting a wedding and no one was observing social distancing .I believe the health department would call it a super spreader event. I did call the desk to report this issue. The girl at the desk said ALL people at the wedding were tested before the event. She also said she could not police everyone, and there is an officer who appears and issues citations as it is a local ordinance to mask. We stayed in our room trying to be oblivious the the late night noisy people in the hallway who may/may not have been enjoying themselves. In short, I believe Holiday Inn did gross disservice and considered their bottom line before the safety of their guests. If it is imperative to host an event which might become a super spreader, at the very least, do not accept other guests in your establishment. The people at the desk were very pleasant, and apologetic, however, that fact will not be enough to have me return to this Holiday Inn and I truly doubt I will make reservations at another. We have traveled before during the pandemic. The places we stayed observed precautions and took care of their guests. A pandemic is not something a business should disregard.

Great place to stay. Clean and efficient for out of town work. I will come back soon! Great customer service as well. Lots of amenities on site. Plus it's close to the Savannah Rive site for easy access in to mornings going to work.
virus sucks
No ice machine, no buffet, did not clean rooms for 2 night stay. Had to ask for more towels. What food was offered was terrible. Stood by a pass through, social distancing, to get something that we threw away it was that bad. I know the VIRUS is tragic, but the media has scared people so bad. We are from Florida. Not a scared state. The price should have reflected all things not offered. But that did not happen. The things were not to us until we paid at check-in. Would have chosen a cheaper motel if I had been told, either by E-mail or before checking in.

I felt safe in my stay at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites at Aiken, SC. My room was clean with a note stating who cleaned the room. I was required to complete some paperwork in my room I ha a table that allowed me to accomplished this task in my room. The hotel was close to many eating places. The staff was helpful with telling you about palaces to eat..
Great place to stay at
While visiting family in Aiken, my husband and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express. The hotel was clean, and staff was pleasant and professional. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We did not have an issue, and we felt safe during the pandemic, as they routinely clean public areas. Great hotel close to shopping, restaurants and, of course, family. Thank you, Holiday Inn Express, for an enjoyable stay.
