Value for money with pool and friendly management close by bus stop that makes up for slightly remote (relaxed) locatio

Santorini has truly expensive accomodation. Villa Iliovasilema provides good value for money. The hotel is pretty new and nice. I booked the cheapest room and is very pleased. My plan is to go and see attractions and read book in a sun bed. I can do this here by the cold water swimming pool. If I stand up, I can see the calderra. Nice. Santorini is a small island. Bus rides are short. There is a local bus stop outside the hotel with fair freequency. It will take you to Thira (or the short ride oppisite direction to the infamous Red Beach). Thira is if course a must see and for shopping, but you will want to shift bus for Ia - easy to do with connection every 20 minutes or so. You will here traffic by the Villa Iliovasilema swimming pool, but it did not bother my beauty sleep. ATWs for rent outside the hotel door and you can walk 5-10 minutes to Akrotiri. Nothing much to do or see just outside the hotel door - but, then again, you either can choose to pay hundredes of Euro a night or stay here by the pool for a fair price. The owner and hostess is nice and serviceminded and friendly.
Very nice and pleasant stay

We had a very pleasant stay at this villa. While Akrotiri may be far from the town it does give you the peace., calm and privacy. The villa is closer to the other attractions in the south of the island. Elsa was very warm and gave us useful tips. Recommend.

The villa is a perfect example of Santorini's architecture and style. It has a nice pool and the bus stop is in front of her. It's located in Akrotiri, the other side of the island. Great service, breakfast was 5€ per person and we liked it.
Honest Review - For a 3* hotel
Avaliou em 16 de agosto de 2018
Looking at the reviews, I think its important to understand this is a 3* hotel, so expectations can't be too high to take in what you are paying for. The hotel is outside AKOTIRI at least 10 mins outside, you can get a transfer which is 25 euros, it is probably better to hire a car for 40 euros for the day than to keep paying for transfers as you end up spending alot. I stayed in a superior double room which was spacious enough for 2 people. The shower was strong in terms of power but it was salty water coming out. I asked the receptionist why the water was salty and she said this is throughout santorini. I stayed at this hotel for only 3 nights as I was attending a wedding, and a few of my friends who were staying at other hotels in akitori said they also had salty water BUT others who stayed in hotels which were 4*/5* were not experiencing this, so if salty water is an issue for you then i would advise you pay more to stay at a more expensive hotel. The only reason why I stayed at this hotel was because it was only for 3 nights to attend a wedding, if I was spending a week or more I would suggest spending a bit more money at a 4*/5* hotel. I was told I would get a sea view, the window doesnt look out to the sea, it looks out to the grounds next to the hotel, BUT when you come out of your door then you see the sea lol so just wanted to clarify for those who may end up paying more for a sea view. Every room will see the sea once you step out of your door. Im not sure what they use to wash their bath towels buts its quite hard, just need to use fabric softener so the towels aren't harsh on the skin. The bed sheets aren't changed just re-tucked in neatly. I didnt eat breakfast as I had heard mixed reviews. The breakfast is very average, like jam, bread, cereal, so if you are looking for a good ole english breakfast, pancakes, omlettes then there is a brunch restaurant called Akrothiri you can walk there in 10-13 minutes from the hotel. Next door to the hotel you can rent atv bikes so thats good that it is quite close. Wifi is only available in the reception area not in the rooms. So overall the hotel is average, and because i stayed there for the weekend i got what i paid for, but if you want to stay for more than one week it may be better to stay somewhere else and pay more to get your holidays worth. I know the hotel tends to reply to comments left here, so this is just an honest review, like i said its average and its 3* so if you are ok with that then definitely book here but dont have high expectations.
interesting location with great views over caldera but otherwise would not recommend

The property is located some distance from the town on Akrontiri so a car is really necessary. Sea view for all rooms is mentioned but there is actually no window from the room-the view is available from the terrace outside the room. We had no hot water on 1 of 2 nights and the bathroom drains were questionable. Due to previous bad reviews we did not try breakfast.
