When we checked we had an AARP rate of $157.57 which included taxes etc. The girl at the desk told us she could give us the room for $141.99. When we checked out of the room, the total was $169.84. VERY DECEPTIVE on their part. BAIT AND SWITCH

Hello, I stayed at Holiday Inn Express Jul 7-8 in room 426. Upon check-in one of the key cards did not work. This was not a big deal as I just went down to the desk to have it reprogrammed. While there I asked for an extra blanket and to have a bath towel replaced because there was a red sticky substance on one of the towels. A couple hours later I called again for the towel and blanket. It was never brought to us. So I used the floor mat as a towel and we folded the comforter in half for my husband. The a/c made this horrible sound when the condenser was running. There was mold in the bathroom all above the shower and in corners of the bathroom. Thank goodness I wear flip flops in showers and sprayed everything with Lysol. When I informed the desk clerk of this the next morning I was told the 4th floor hadn’t received planned renovations yet. Even so this room should not be used for occupancy. The staff at the desk was very friendly. I’m not sure if housekeeping was informed we needed the blanket and towel. I’m very disappointed with this stay. Sent this information to the corporate offices. Waiting on a reply.

Given review elsewhere I booked 2 suites for a business trip that we could take our 12 and 14 year old on. Since it had an indoor pool and hot tub I thought the kids and us adults could decompress and have a little fun. The hotel is very worn and dated and surrounded surrounded by businesses that are now closed including restaurants. The walls were very dirty and by the coffee maker there was mustard down the wall. The worst part is after our business function we returned to the hotel and went to the pool and hot tub and there were 10 kids in there screaming their heads off so we left. Upon returning to our door or key would not work. We went to the front desk to get a new key and the lady came up with it. Turns out the batteries were out on the lock and so maintenance had to be called which took an hour to fix. The whole time we were in wet bathing suits and towels and went to our coworkers suite until our issue was fixed. The owner needs to do something. The lady that was there when we checked in at 1:30 PM was still there at 11 PM that night, she had worked from 7 AM to 11 PM two days in a row. I saw the owner and his BMW, he needs to put some money into revamping this hotel. I feel for the employees here as he is not treating them right and there are maintenance issues going unaddressed because he does not want to spend the money. I would not recommend this hotel under any circumstances even if it does have an indoor pool and hot tub! Dirty and nasty for $189 a night:(

Not up to standard that we usually get from Holiday Inn’s. Room was dirty, McDonald’s wrapper laying next to bed. Damaged lamp, crayon on walls, wall damaged, bathroom door was bent and wouldn’t stay closed, a wall l look amp didn’t have a light bulb even. No sanitizer on upper floors off elevators. No parking available. Very disappointing. Felt like a room from a roadside hourly motel.

We stopped here for the night unexpectedly when traveling south. (We needed to break up the drive). I was hesitant with COVID, however this place is absolutely immaculate even by my sometimes unrealistic standards. Every staff member I came in contact with was kind & helpful. They’re doing things right here, I will stay without hesitation in the future.
