Nice little Hotel
A pleasent place to stay. Nice room, great location, good breakfast. Friendly staff. In Sept parking is Ok on the street. Nice walking distance to the town center. Many resturants in the area. And the beach across the street.
Perfect place for Anzio visit
We visited Anzio because of the WWII battle there. Chose this hotel from Trip Advisor and arrived without a reservation, but was lucky and got the last room. The room was small but had everything needed, new, clean, large shower, and great air conditioning. The location was perfect, just across the street from the beach and a nice restaurant. We only had interaction with one staff member, but she could not have been better: attentive, helpful, caring, and spoke excellent English. Within walking distance to the Anzio Beachhead Museum, but a taxi is needed to get to the war cemeteries (The desk clerk helped here).
Great wee hotel
Really well located and good value for money. Newly built, with a modern interior, the spaces are smallish but rooms have everything required for a comfortable stay! Great services and beautiful breakfast! I recommend to take room with the view to the beach
Dissapointing
Dissapointed in my stay at Riviera hotel. Firstly, on arrival at the airport our arranged transfer provided by Riviera hotel was late. When we finally got going our transfer got pulled over by the police we ended up sitting there waiting for 2 hours, this was very dissapointing as we only had 2 full days of holiday in Italy and it ruined our plans for our first day. On arrival to the hotel our room was very cold, I would have thought the staff would have put our heating on for our arrival. Bathroom was very cold the whole stay. We were in a triple room but the hotel had only Provided us with 2 blankets. The bedding was very minimal for the time of year. Breakfast was fine on day one but on day two the bread was stale , I can only assume it was bread left over from the previous day!? Our rubbish wasn’t taken when serviced but clean towels were provided. None of the hotel staff were friendly, I didn’t feel welcome, not in the slightest. On one occasion I rang the bell in reception for assistance, a lady heard this and popped her head out the kitchen door but continued with what she was doing and did not assist. Hotel would have been okay With a few changes. If it wasn’t for the rest of the Italians in Anzio who were very friendly then I would never return to Italy again.
Rude unfriendly staff
Hotel itself is basic and as expected for a 3 star. Staff are un-welcoming to point where they don't even welcome you on arrival and eye contact is minimal. We used the hotel's airport shuttle service that they provide on request- disaster is an understatement, pulled over by the police and was stuck waiting with no apology or explanation for almost 2 hours to then have to make a police statement and be told that legally we should not pay for the service- hotel still demanded payment again no apology no discount for the inconvenience. Stay would have been fine had the staff been a bit more welcoming. We won't be returning to this hotel.
