Excellent Overnight Stop
This is a small hotel which had everything we needed and more. Rooms are dated, but clean and functional. Bathroom seems to have been renovated. Rooms had a fridge and microwave. There was also an exercise room and attached restaurant. I highly recommend the hotel.
Good Restful Hotel
Hotel is on the river, a short walk across a park-like area will take you to a walk way along the river. Hotel is standard Quality Inn, nothing out of the ordinary. No pool. Restaurant attached to the hotel. Check-in/check-out was easy breezy. Staff friendly and efficient. Room was clean and comfortable, very quiet. No morning hotel breakfast which we found a bit unusual.
A Disappointing Experience - Cleanliness an Issue
While previous visits to this hotel have been good, my last stay a few days ago left much to be desired. The first room that I was given had a stained/dirty top cover over the comforter on one bed, and on the other bed the comforter underneath the top cover was stained/dirty in several places. I called the front desk where they offered clean replacements, or another room. I chose a new room given the suspect cleanliness of the first room. The next room also proved problematic. The outlet behind the bed had no switchplate overtop, and plugging anything into it resulted in the exposed plug going back further into the wall. I called the front desk and someone came to plug in the bedside lamps. Shortly thereafter, I turned on the television, and the satellite did not work on the TV. I again called the front desk, and was told I could wait until someone could fix it tomorrow, or move rooms. I chose to move rooms. The staff member informed me at that time that this was the last room she had available, so hopefully it was good. Upon inspecting the room, the top cover on the bed was again dirty/stained, and I requested a replacement. The television worked, and since I had been informed there were no other room options, we stayed. On a final note, the satellite subscription no longer included the two kids channels that had been available during previous stays, which was a disappointment to my young niece who travelled with me. Over the next few days there was no follow-up from the hotel management, and during a slow check out there was no inquiry as to the satisfaction of my stay. Unfortunately based on this last experience, it is unlikely that I will return.
Very pleased, will return
We recently stayed at the Quality in at the last minute. First off, I would like to say that the service was excellent. We checked in around 9pm on a Sunday night and the girl at the front desk Julie was excellent. Check in was fast, efficient and she was very helpful as well as patient with us; it had been an exhausting day. She booked us in on a ground floor room where we could park our motorcycle within fairly close view. Room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The coffee in the morning was good and plentiful and there was all small quick breakfast items available to eat. The best part was after we left my husband had dropped a special stone on the floor and when the staff found it they called us later that day to let us know. We didn't even realize that it was missing yet. They very nicely mailed it home to us so that my husband could have it back. I must compliment this hotel for their service, especially Julie and we will definitely return next time we are back that way.
This hotel has clean rooms and the staff was friendly. The draw backs are that the WiFi internet access is terrible and the television kept locking up even though there was no weather outside to affect it. This is also one of the very few Quality Inns where they do not have breakfast.
