Average because other rooms may be quieter...July 1, 2020
The location is right at the junction of 2 highways. The loops required to find it were tricky, but there are back roads to access the food and gas station. Departure towards the airport sends you a mile up the road away from the airport before reversing direction to drive right past the hotel again. The impression is grand. It looks great outside, the covered entrance has huge revolving doors, and the lobby is huge and formal. We stayed in room 529. We neither saw nor heard any other guests. When we arrived at 5pm, our room was air conditioned to 68 degrees and it was 90 outside. The lights were on and the king bed was huge, comfy, and had 5 pillows of varying fluffiness. The one that I chose was perfect. We knew that there was no fridge, but we had a cooler and were ending our trip. When I looked to set the 5am alarm to go to the airport, there was no clock. We used the phone alarm. The shower shampoo and lotions were large. (There was a used shampoo container left on the shelf in the shower.) My wife took the disinfectant wipes to all the knobs, switches, TV remote, and things that we might touch as we have done on the 6 nights that we were in hotels on this 11 day adventure, and found the most dirt on her wipe here as we have on any place throughout the whole trip. It wasn't noticeable on the surfaces, just when you cleaned them. We found the greatest restaurant, Rosie's Diner, to have dinner at just down the road, and filled the gas tank of the rental car at the 7-11. The swimming pool was closed. Covid-19 ? We could hear the traffic above the air conditioner but hoped it would lighten up or the air conditioner would drown out the traffic noise as it got later. The side of the building we were on faced the highway, as I believe most of the rooms do because two highways meet there. There were multiple times that we woke up from the noise, and it was so loud that it was like the window was open. I was awake at 4:45am and didn't need the alarm. We got showered and out the door by 5:30. The staff at the front desk was very nice. We had a prompt check in, and a bit later went down and had our airline boarding passes printed after we checked in on our cell phone. If you didn't need the fridge or clock, didn't mind the shower drain taking 4 minutes to drain, and didn't miss not being able to use the pool, everything was nice except the traffic noise. Ask for a room AWAY from everything. There was a basket on the counter to drop off your room keys for contactless checkout. I had prepaid $84.47 using Agoda for online booking.
Don’t waste your time
There are plenty of other places nearby with the same or cheaper price for a better experience. The rooms are very very very small. No mini fridge or microwave. They had no warning about the pool being closed. Honestly not impressed at all for the price. You’re paying for the bar and the restaurant option which both are overpriced.
Air conditioning was so loud and room was hot on top floor. Staff was fine but Room was old and look like they should be renovated. I expected a hig her level of experience with the name of your hotel.
Arlene at the front desk is always very welcoming and so helpful. I stay at this location at least twice a week and she makes checkin a breeze. She always remembers that I request a room with a refrigerator and microwave.
Provide "Do Not Disturb" signs in each room so that housekeeping does not wake us up super early during our stay, since most people don't get up until right before they check out. Also if someone doesn't answer the door when you knock don't enter the room and stare at the customers while they are sleeping.
