4 stars? They need to catch up
We thought to have a minimum standing but we were disappointed... We took a 2 rooms appartment. The room clearly need a refresh, old carpet on the floor, the doors are all damaged, the bathroom very little and not adapted. On the spa area some saunas were not working, the hamam smells mole.. And cleaning seems to be done very fast and not in a good way despite the hotel was almost empty. Food is OK but not 4 stars standards. Too bad we will choose another one next time.

Don’t know about the hotel. Stayed at the apartments, which are overpriced for what they offer. Clean overall, with a lot of things not working and an extremely uncomfortable bed. Management overall helpful.
Great value hotel
Stayed with party of 8 family and friends in a short ski trip. Hotel is about 15 walk from town centre but there is a shuttle bus which is helpful. For skiing the hotel is well located only if the resort run is open which for our trip was not. The shuttle bus runs to the main lift station so this is fine although it would be good if the Shuttle ran to the upper station when the resort runs are closed. The hotel itself is very nice, clean and the staff are all friendly. The breakfast is ok buffet standard but we were not allowed to take coffee out of the breakfast room which seems a little petty. We had pizzas in the bar one night which were delicious but didn’t eat in the hotel other than that. The best part of the hotel is the spa which has excellent value treatments, a superb pool and a variety of sauna and steam rooms. Overall a great time and experience at this hotel.
Weekend getaway in off season
This is good place for short vacation. Rooms are big and clean. The downside is that we did not had hairdryer in the room, and we could smell cigarette smoke in bathroom, probably air vantilation. We had great time in their spa. They have Finnish, aroma and steam bath. Pool is a bit smoller that I would like, and it is shallow, max depth 1.4m. Food there is amazing, with lots of sweet and salty dishes. Good value for your money.
Don't ask for starting the fire place!
So, on a weekend, looking for a cozy room with a fire place to stay just at the start of the winter. Upon arrival, we asked how we could get the fire place started and the receptionist told the PERSON who fires it up is not available on a Sunday evening and we should wait until the next day. On the next day in the afternoon we asked for the same and we were asked to wait and see if the PERSON is available - obviously, a pretty busy guy, had to see if he could squeeze us in that tight schedule! So after 20 minutes , we got a call and the receptionist finally said that their wood is wet and the person can't get the fire started... The only reason we booked this hotel was because of the nice looking fire place and that's why we paid extra to be in an apartment. Won't make the same mistake twice. Hotel service not worth the money, there are much better places in Bansko, probably with a possibility to enjoy a fire place...
