The hotel is a generous and character full 19th century manor house in three hectares of grounds backing onto the foothills of Skiddaw and looking west across the valley to Bassenthwaite lake and the fells beyond. Easily reached from the M6 and a short journey from Keswick it is ideally situated for walking, hiking and biking in the Northern Lakes with walks including a Wainwright starting from the end of the drive.
