Take your business to a hotel, which takes customers seriously
We arrived yesterday evening and are currently staying in a king room with a sea view. Well, don’t expect to find slippers (are only delivered upon special request), bathrobe or water bottles (are not provided at all) in your room. The lady at the reception clarified to me that the absence of such basic amenities was a “standard” within the hotel industry. The next surprise that awaited us, was... the hotel’s incapacity to clean our room. Rooms are cleaned upon request, which we made at 2 pm. At 5 pm the room was still not cleaned and the reception instructed us that the room would be cleaned eventually, till the end of the business day. Hence, should you need a shower after a trip to the beach, or wish to relax, forget about it, you will have to adapt to housekeeping’s schedule. Now, don’t let me even get started on service in the rooftop restaurant. And... expect the receptionist to not speak the language of the country of the hotel’s operation, because “it’s a Hilton”.
OK hotel but below expectations
Everything is average or below average in this hotel: - rooms look nice at a first glance, but balcony glass is so dirty, you can hardly enjoy the sea view. Window glasses also poorly cleaned. - TV working poorly, the screen goes black in every 5-10 min and you have to restart. - Shower leaks a lot. - Ventilation almost not working in the bathroom; - they could not provide us with an umbrella in heavy rain, with an excuse of having 15 umbrellas only. - despite very low occupancy, they did not allow us to have late check-out at 5pm and only negotiated to check out at 2pm; - boring spa - small indoor swimming pool, no jacuzzi; - Too obsessed with Covid 19 regulations. No major issues, and the staff try to be very attentive and caring, but in general other international brand hotels have much better quality and value for money to offer in Batumi.
Vecation
Thank you for our great vecation. Service was very great. I had a very good time in radissom. Pool Coktails were excalent da our barmen david was very kind and his coktails were very tasty. Service was brilliant.
Poor Service
Very poor service, not nice hosting, front office is not responsible I was waiting 1 hour for towel in the room, No spoons no water in the room it is shame that there is not water and also very messy room service, Asked for tea and brought sugar, asked for 2 bottle of water and get 2 different roomservice staff with 2-2 bottle water. In the hotel and more in the HILTON towels should be ironed when guest is asking?? i think it must be preared before. In rainy Batumi there is no UMBRELLA in the hotel, and answer is that it is broken. and also very bad that guest can not ask to room service to bring some snacks from down stair (snack corner) Hostesses are not happy to host the guests. Just can say thanks to the Sky restaurant waiters and hosts. and pool reception girl Mariam. they were really nice and helpful!
Great stay
We stayed at a Junior Suite ( corner room with panoramic view over the sea and the city ) . This was our first hotel stay post lockdown. The overall experience was very good. However there are both government and Hilton’s own safety restrictions - you have to wear mask outside your room, only 2 persons in the lift at any time, etc. , but it did not bother us too much. On the plus side , instead of the buffet, the breakfast is served a la carte which makes the whole breakfast experience in the roof top restaurant more pleasant. Our room was spacioous and very clean, by the way the bed was very comfortable ,the pool is working ( however not the spa yet) and it is nice indoor pool with outdoor terrace. The hotel was not full yet, but it is enough people there and in Batumi in general to get a nice resort feeling. The staff was super friendly and we enjoyed our stay very much. I would definitely recommend the Hilton Batumi and would not mind to stay there again. Both during Covid time and hopefully afterwards when everything will be back to normal again.
