A beautiful hotel, with heavenly shower, perfect bed and delicious breakfast. The rooms, the entrance and the building are very elegant and clean. I totally recommend this hotel and I will definitely come back next time I'll be in Antwerpen.

Not what I was expecting at all !

As much as I had praised this establishment in my review of March 12th 2022, I have just checked-in with good memories of my previous stay. Having arrived at the hotel at 19:35, I announced myself by my name at Reception and was greeted with a « Do you have a credit card ? ». Nice way to greet a returning guest. I was allocated room 202, which was very cold and having turning up the temperature I had to wait approx 3h with the help of the receptionist for the room to become warmer. The following day, same story. Room heating does not seem to work when the key card is not in the "power slot" in the room. So I went to bed in a freezing room. Bathroom fan very noisy as well. I then called room service to order food and was told that the kitchen is closed on Mondays. I wish I had been told in advance or at check-in. Website advertises high-speed internet yet it was running at 3.5Mb which may have been high-speed 10 or 15 years ago, but not in 2022 To complement these issues, there are no power outlets within reach of the desk to charge my iPad, so I was working sitting in the bathroom. I mentioned this in the morning when leaving the hotel and that did not seem to bother the receptionist. I also wrote an email to the email address on the website (welcome@hotelfranq.com) on Monday and 2 days later have not received a response. Most disappointing, to say the least.

What a tasteful lovely stay smack in the historic center

Welcoming from the start you walk through the door. The warm welcome of the wonderful Front Desk employee to the warm winter decoration and feel. The tree was lovingly decorated and fills nearly the entire room, but that is not taking away from the space really. The staff is extremely hospitable, accommodating, and friendly. While the lobby area offers a big welcome the warm and sleek rooms are not overwhelming, but offer super nice touches. I love the multiple use bathroom amenities, the soft bathrobes, and the various pillows and milking stools for various purposes. The bed was totally comfortable, not too soft and not too hard. I learned they were brought from Buckingham Palace. No joke. The breakfast was lovely, had all you need, and eggs to order. Flexible with the finish time too, especially for late comers like us. We even ventured through the garden and found this little house in the back from 1621 with original tiles of Delfter ink. Room sizes vary, we felt very comfortable with the Deluxe (2 levels up from Cozy). I snug a view of the Junior suite, which was very nice. A bummer we missed the restaurant experience as we stayed when the had their deserved days off. I could do with less of the smell in the lobby a little more subtle would be good. Other than that - keep it up ladies (and Gent) The gym is ok - but you do not go for the gym.

Lovely boutique hotel, high quality standards from beginning to end

Hotel Franq is situated in the centre of Antwerp, yet easy to reach by car, walking distance from many sights, own parking garage with chargers for electric cars. The restaurant is brilliant, one Michelin star, and serves beautiful food, with unusual amuses. We had diner and breakfast on the patio looking at a beautiful 17th century building (curious what the hotel will do with this building as it was yet only used for storage. If they make suites in it, I will certainly come back for it :). Rooms, towels, bathrobe, all is high quality. Only set back was the early morning fire alarm, for which we did not get an explanation. But hé, in any case the alarm works.

Best hotel of Antwerpen, the food, service and room were all excellent! We had a very nice breakfast and we’re very happy with the service to plan out our weekend! The room was wonderful and spacious. Also very clean! We had a very pleasant stay!!
