Awful

Terrible! The owner is a joke. The older man at the desk is rude and needs to learn to speak English. No hot water for days on end... cords to the lamps were severed... nasty mattresses... found a syringe underneath the bed. Had to move to another room across the lot due to water leak issues only to have no hot water in the room we moved to. One of the front desk attendants offered no explanation or timeline as to when the water heater issue would be solved. Very unprofessional... they act like your money is just nothing. Service is pathetic. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!

The rooms was super clean and smelled good. Friendly staff . We will stay again. The owners was very nice and the lady housekeeper she was very helpful. This motel is quite at night and the beds are really comfy

We pulled into Knights Inn on our trip back from Florida to Michigan. It had reasonable reviews. We needed a park at the door motel. Plus pet friendly for our dog. The lobby is very cramped and messy. Very unusual check in. One straight price no tax. Noticed all the rooms had very colorful exterior doors. Opening the door to our room we were shocked to see nothing like the pictures in there ad shows. But three bright purple walls and one wall in three colors of green geometric deisgn. Wow! Not very rest full. We had to ask someone to bring a broom and dust pan to clean the floor. This is a bare bones room. Not even an ice bucket, no tissue, no lotions, no coffee pot.. Went up to the office to ask for ice that they did bring to the room after they washed us an ice bucket. The beds were very low to the floor. Mattresses appeared clean but the cheapest that could be purchased. Old pillows, sheets were clean.

Very friendly and colorful. Sitting on a pretty hill, with a beautiful garden.

I enjoy this hotel so much I stayed here on my way south and again on my trip back home. Berea has so many great sights and craft places! The owners are kind and friendly. (It’s no,longer one of the hotel chain, but managed to keep the name. There’s a beautiful hand tended garden and all the doors are different pastel colors. Because of the pandemic there was no breakfast, but there is coffee available in the office. Reasonable prices and an excellent location. It is easy to find one’s way around town from here. And there’s a pool!

Dangerous for kids

First, I asked for a king sized bed non smoking which was listed at $47 a night. The clerk pretended to not speak English well. You do not receive an itemized spread sheet explaining your bill and hotel policy, just a cash register receipt. Upon arriving in our room discovered that it was two full beds so wife and I had to sleep separate. Two full beds cost $55 a night so was charged $8 extra by desk clerk. Secondly, the desk clerk did not observe Covid-19 protocol and occasionally removed his mask while booking the room. In the room the sheets were dingy but smelled washed. The room was outdated with the only upgrade a sloppy coat of paint. The smoke detector looked ancient and had paint over part of the sensor so doubtful it would function properly. The room entry safety lock had been busted off the door frame making me wonder if we were safe. The bathroom did not have an operational exhaust fan so the whole room smelled like an outhouse if you had to use the facilities. But the worst of all was that the bedside lights were hot wired into the electrical outlet and the cover was left off leaving electrified wires exposed to the touch and could result in electrocution or short out fire. Do not stay here with kids as it is hazardous. OSHA should definitely visit this place. We only stayed here because a flood resulted in a state of emergency and we could not go home.
