Stayed at the Holiday Inn for one night so did not need to use the bar or any other facilities but as far as the room was concerned, we had a great stay. I can only assume the hotel has been given a makeover recently as everything was very modern. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was spacious and we appreciated the Rituals hand soap and shower gel! Check-in and out was easy enough and the hotel is located close to a train station. Good value for money and an ideal place to stay for a short visit to Berlin!

Great central hotel near transport and restaurants. Good value hotel with nice bed and hot water. Room was small but clean and you get what you pay for.Breakfast was a bun fight but it was included in the price.Bar very small and not well stocked but you could get a nightcap. Supermarket opposite so very handy if you needed anything.Reception staff very helpful and friendly.Great restaurant called mama cook well worth a visit 5 minutes walk away.

Perfect rooms, completely renovated but some staff issues

First to clear thing straight, hotel is super tidy, completely renovated, rooms are very nice and big and bed is very comfortable. For that 5 stars. There is always but. hospitality and customer service in general in Germany is not the strongest side, something you don’t count on, not sure what would be the reason. However when you arrive at 10PM in the hotel with a child and dog who was announced by email to the hotel, and after your train is delayed for 5 hours and we had to take a car ride for 6 hrs, last thing you need is staff member who has attitude “why did you come so late” and questions like did you announced your dog. You have to pay your whole stay up in front at the reception during check out. Ok, that is the policy, yet again I didn’t get any invoice for that. I was told I am paying full stay, during check out another lady told me that I paid only three out of four nights, and that check in lady did a mistake and we need to pay one more night plus extra night since we prolonged our stay?? Lady at check out was much nicer but unable to answer some of the basic questions like what am I paying actually. Dog was charged 20 eur per day, this was announced up in front so no surprise there, only you don’t get anything for this 20 eur, no dog pillow no water bowls, just charge. We used garage, it is automatic garage and only available to smaller cars. It worked perfectly though. Hotel is just across train station, good positioned and well priced. Breakfast is ok, had much better in my life but overall you have quite a choice. Over the weekend they serve sparkling wine for breakfast as well. WiFi worked very well. Overall they need to work with staff on attitude issues. Like one review earlier mentioned, we were also warned that there is card bell for opening doors although nobody told us that during check in and bell is not visible at all. Not to mention they tell you that with not nice tone, more like you did something awfully wrong.

Great hotel and friendly staff

I stayed here from 31 August 22 to 5 September 22 with a friend for a sightseeing trip to Berlin. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We paid a small amount extra for breakfast and it was worth it hands down. The breakfast was excellent with a large choice of cooked, continental buffet, cereal and fruits. Very good. The rooms and hotel are very nice and in good condition, all very clean and tidy. The location is a little way out of the town centre but a short walk to the nearest S Bahn station. There are many restaurants and cafes nearby and a shortish walking distance away. 10 to 20 minutes walk away to a popular and fashionable area with lots of different types of food. I would stay here again if I return to Berlin.

Nice hotel close to public transportaion

Nice hotel with good location and close to the public transportation. Rooms are not so big and,suit for 2, 2+1 people. The service is good and helpfull. Rooms doesnt clean every day, and they forget to update you about that. In general good place to stsy for a vist in berlin
