Amazing service and good food!!!
Stayed for a week, the spa is worth the extra money as it’s just a must see! Cocktails were of good value and the food for breakfast and dinner had plenty of choice with show cooking also! Me and my partner rate this place 5* with are main reason being the staff are so friendly and welcoming! As well as the food being very good, Blanes itself is very quiet so if your a young couple or group of lads or ladies maybe try somewhere else! But for a relaxing stay this is most definitely the place to be! 5* Thanks for a great holiday!
We are just back from a 7 day stay at Beverly Park hotel. My partner, me and our 18 month old stayed here for a relaxing family holiday. We booked a superior room with half board eating plan. Upon arrival the hotel looks smart and nicer than some hotels in the area. The beach is a 2 minute walk down the street and there are supermarkets and restaurants around too. When checking in, looking back, I think they lacked information on telling us about breakfast and dinner, for example if you want to go out for dinner one night you can swap and have lunch at the hotel instead. Or if your are leaving early because of an early flight you can order a breakfast basket, this was never told to us, we heard from another guest, so when we went to order one, they told us we were too late. This would’ve been handy information to have known when we first arrived. They do however give you a code for WiFi (which is a really good connection and works all over the hotel, with 4 devices allowed on one code). We were booked into a superior room, which we didn’t think looked like the pictures we had seen before when we booked the hotel. However, it was a lovely room, clean and lots of room for our little one to run around in. They had set up a baby cot for us and provided sheets too. Only thing we didn’t like in the room was the smell that greeted us when we came in, it was obviously just cleaned as it was a cleaning product smell that was a very overwhelming and we had to open the balcony doors to get some fresh air in to get rid of it. The beds were very hard and firm, not something we enjoy ourselves. A point I’d like people to know too is the bathroom doesn’t give much privacy, so if sharing with someone you aren’t that close with could be awkward. There is a sheer glass door that looks into the bathroom and gaps between the door and wall, so okay if with family but just a thought for people who might not be. The swimming pool is a nice size and has a kids pool attached to it. However, because they have so many trees in the gardens around the pool, the pool is never warm because 90% of it is ALWAYS in the shade. This is the same when lying out by the pool, everyone has to move all day to be in the sun as the trees cause so much shade. We also didn’t think the pool was looked after much as there always seemed to be rubbish/ garbage floating in the pool. The restaurant is quite a big space and when entering you state your room number. You find a table yourself and head up to the Buffett. Breakfast has quite a lot of options, food and juice wise. However at dinner in the evening, you don’t get any drinks included in the half board service. They come to your table and you order drinks like wine, soft drinks or water, then you pay when you leave. This really disappointed us we expected drinks (soft drinks anyways) to be included in the half board. I didn’t personally think the evening meal food was that great, however I am a fussy eater and I might not be the best to judge. I also didn’t think there was much options for kids other than chips. We did find it odd as there were a lot of different nationalities in the hotel but everything was in Spanish in the restaurant, with no other information about what item was what. Staff around the hotel are on the whole great! Really lovely, always say hello and try and help the best they can. A shoutout to Andrea on the bar and the night reception guy (forgot him name sorry!) who helped us out a lot and were the best staff there. Also Sophie in the restaurant was very sweet to our little one! Overall, a nice stay but I do think the hotel is a 3 star hotel (at a push), it’s a great location and staff are lovely.
Nothing exciting. Plenty of disappointments including having to pay for WATER at meal times.
So upon first arriving at the hotel, it’s very clean and tidy. Upon checking in, we weren’t given any information about the restaurant. No help with luggage When we reached our room it was clean and tidy but was overpowered the the strongest smell of cleaning products which was disgusting and took a few hours of leaving the balcony door open to extinguish the smell. The rooms don’t look like they do on the photos. We ordered a superior room which, on the photos, seem longer and have a bonus couch near the window. Room seemed a basic room. Maids were excellent. You were always sure to return to a spotless room and fresh towels and bedding. Food not great some nights but fine on other. If you’re british and don’t speak much Spanish, you’ll struggle to know what is what as it’s all in Spanish. I respect that we’re in Spain but explanations in other languages would be nice. Another disappointment is that you have to pay for WATER. Really! The first hotel i’ve ever been to where this is the case and i’ve travelled ALOT. hugely disappointing and this took a big chunk out of your rating. Sheer greed. Can’t even take your own drinks in. Huge mistake by the hotel. There was an events board on reception of goings on but only in French and Spanish. I asked to change if it was possible to show the football on the screens in the lobby but was declined due to an event happening 2 HOURS LATER! Poor customer service by a few but some staff were very helpful. Clean poolside but constantly picking out rubbish from the pool. No staff around to maintain. Lots of trees blocking sunlight. Expect to move seats a lot to catch the sun. FREEZING cold pool. Nobody in it. Room Service RIDICULOUSLY overpriced! €9 for a sandwich and €17 for a pizza. Quite annoying when the same pizzas are only €8 in the downstairs cafe. Nice location. Mini walk from the beach. Felt no effort was made towards british holiday makers but was for others. It may sound like i’m only writing negative things about the hotel but, i’d really like the hotel to take on board my remarks and learn from them. Hence my average rating. This hotel could be brilliant if they added/changed a few things highlighted.
We arrived yesterday and the weather was awful. Thunder storms and lightening!!! But hey you can’t predict the weather. We had a wander around the area but decided that we would stay at our hotel ‘The Beverley Park’ So here is were the reviews are mixed Firstly, the reception staff are lovely. They make you feel welcome and are a credit to the hotel However, the bar staff are a totally different matter. They laugh and joke about you - generally make you feel very self conscious and awkward. You are the last to be served and are totally disregarded. We are half board and so far the food has been amazing. I will update the review in a couple of days. Last year we stayed in Santa Susana and I wished we had gone back there this time as the people and the service was second as to none
Beverly park hotel
Hello. Me, my husband and our little one year and a half child were in this hotel in the middle of September. Definitely this is not 4 stars hotel, the room was very basic and outdated. When we check in the room we notice black hair everywhere on the floor, on the furniture too. The toilet was with brown stains inside.....Overall the cleaning was very very poor!!! The other bad thing is the freezing outside pool. We used it the last two days and after that our child has blocked nose, cold and flu at all. Now me and my husband are sick too because of the freezing water in pool in this “4” STARS hotel. The food was great, but this is not enough to come back.
