Business trip for 3 nights, I had to stay here since all the hotels around was sold out.
Considering that this trip was during Covid 19 pandemy, I was expecting to get the room clean. I used my own sanitizing stuff and I was surprised to see that the desk, the bed side, etc was dirty! basically I cleaned them.
I could not open my window since outside was full of spiders and spiders nets...not cleaned since months
The sink is unusable, is o small that if you try to wash your face is not enough space to get your head above it, so half of water is going on the floor
The shower is OK, but there is no soap support, basically you have to put the soap on the shower floor!
All these for a cost of 120 EURO /night

the hotel was OK, but not as pleasant as I felt it should be. The staff was great and very welcoming. But the hotel rooms were not very clean, incl. bathrooms. There were used materials still in the shower (from former guest), sand on the floor (so no vaccum cleaning), some nasty stains on the glass door of the bathroom,...
The bed sheets were new and fresh, but overall it was smelling on the corridors and in the room. Air condition worked and was cool.
The breakfast was OK, but did not had a lot of selection available.
Food in the restaurant was great!
Its OK for business

I paid approx €100 per night including breakfast.
We were here on business and needed to get to and from the port, which was fine and was about a 20 min drive away.
We paid €12 a night extra for Breakfast - I didn't feel that this was worth it. However, not sure where else you could get food from? I believe there was a supermarket across the road.
The downstairs area of the hotel was lovely and very nicely furnished. Rooms were OK but basic. Small bathroom, good powerful shower, thin towels. Had single beds in the room I stayed in. Walls are thin.
AMAZING fire place in reception!
Staff were very helpful at Breakfast when I couldn't find the English tea !!
Excellent highky recommend

Used often on work trips. Bar and restaurant are excellent as are the staff and housekeeping. Book early during holiday periods as it is often full. The walled city of Brielle is very close, walking distance really, and definitely worth a visit. Being outside of the city, the hotel is very convenient for parking and access to motorways for moving about if need be. All in all one of my favourite places when travelling and will highly recommend.
Never again, please avoid

We had to be in the Brielle area for a wedding and being familiar with the Bastion hotel chain, we booked a room for one night.
Unfortunately the hotel staff was unprofessional and unfriendly. We kindly asked for two beds to be put together, seen that we are a couple, and the answer that we received was: "then you can put them together yourself". I insisted they'd do this as a hotel service and in the end they did (but not with a happy face).
After getting to the room, unpacking and getting wedding ready, we saw someone's else hair on the bed, on the chair and a hair clip clipped on the lamp of the nightstand. At this time we did not have time to request another room, we checked that the bed sheets were clean , which they were. The room smelled like sweat mixed with a men's perfume, luckily the windows open so we opened them immediately to let the room get some fresh air. The room was the right size for two people, the bathroom was a disaster. A tiny sink, either you bumped your head against the shelf above the sink or the whole bathroom floor got wet trying to wash your face or brush your teeth.
The next morning at 10am a person knocks on the door and immediately after the door opens; it was the cleaning lady (FYI: check-out was at 12 hrs). Upon check-out we didn't receive the question if we enjoyed our stay. We paid and left.
During our stay it was brought to our attention by hotel staff, seen the location of the hotel, 80% of their revenue is due to business and/or work men sleeping there. Unfortunately this is something that we recognized in how the hotel staff addresses people and how they do not provide from their own initiative, service that is expected from a hotel. Work guests, vacation guests; every person who enters a hotel is a guest and therefore should be treated professionally.
A few positive points: free parking at the hotel, night concierge, across the street there are two big supermarkets and you're close to the old historical centre of Brielle.
My feedback to the hotel: please train your staff to be professional at any time and to every person, this is your reputation. Also, make sure the hotel hygiene is on top of it's game, which now it is not.
