Very nice hotel. Staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. Room was clean. View was awesome! Within walking distance to some restaurants and shops. They do have a breakfast buffet, although we did not eat there, we enjoyed the coffee. Would definitely stay here again.

We’ve just just had 3 nights here. Firstly staff are really nice and helpful. Our room was spacious, lovely view of the water and spotlessly clean. Coffee to go was always available, self service breakfast was adequate for us and the outdoor pool was very pleasant. Really enjoyed our stay and would be happy to recommend.

We suffered discrimination as handicapped people at this hotel, still unresolved at the local or corporate level despite numerous attempts over the past 2 months. We are handicapped and have Service Dogs; we have appropriate paperwork for our Service Dogs. That paperwork has been accepted at all prior hotel stays (75 days/year), in US, Canada, Mexico, Greece, Italy, and a few other places. That paperwork was provided to the hotel staff at this facility within 30 minutes of arrival. The hotel staff publicly embarrassed us for the dogs barking at screaming children throughout the hotel, and even went so far as calling our psychiatrist’s office to chastise them. If you are handicapped, I would avoid this hotel.

A favorite hotel with flaws

This hotel has been a long time favorite for our family due to its close proximity to the town, easy access to Assateague and beautiful bay views. On this trip we stayed here twice and we’re not as satisfied as in the past. The prices seemed very high but part of that was due to our second visit being during Pony Week. On one visit, we specifically went to the hotel because of its large pool and hot tub that I wanted due to arthritis. Unfortunately, the pool was extremely cloudy and I left after a few minutes due to the chemicals making our eyes water. Other swimmers left as well. The hotel offered a coupon for 25 off our next visit, but we learned that we would actually lose money using the coupon because our regular choice member price or Senior Discount is more than the $25 offered with the coupon. The breakfast was good and the problems in the pool corrected. Eating area very crowded. Masking not encouraged. Just did not feel COVId safe. The room was comfortable and the view pretty. Saw four dolphins the last day of our stay.

It’s nice to stay at a place where cleanliness and customer service is a priority during this time of concern. The cleaning staff go above and beyond to make sure you are taken care of or if you need anything. I would most definitely recommend this place to anyone coming to Chincoteague VA.
