We love this inn! First visited in 2011 on the way back from a visit to Virginia via Asheville. Has been a destination getaway since, with this being our seventh visit. Great for all seasons! Good food, good wine and gracious hosts. A fire pit has been added since our last visit and we thoroughly enjoyed it.
Wonderful, relaxing stay at this Bed & Breakfast!

My wife and I recently stayed at this wonderful 100-year old Bed & Breakfast for our Anniversary trip! David and Gayle were excellent, friendly hosts who provided us with a delicious farm-to-table breakfast (with a great cup of coffee) each morning and then a glass of complimentary wine and appetizers each evening during "Wine-Thirty" on the Inn's front porch! The Inn is very clean, quiet, has excellent linens, towels, etc. and has a lot of character with a beautiful view of Black Rock Mountain! It is located in Clayton, Georgia - a small, unique mountain town with excellent restaurants (you must eat at Fortify Kitchen & Bar), Moonshine Distillery, nearby hiking trails (Tallulah Gorge State Park was great), orchards, wineries, etc. We highly recommend the Beechwood Inn and will definitely be coming back here again!

A lovely Inn, interesting guests, engaging co-hosts, delicious breakfasts, wonderful setting and located in a small town that punches above its weight. We come from a mountain town in western North Carolina so our standards are high when it comes to setting and they were met.
A Mountain Inn Jewel that is well worth a visit

Excellent Mountain Inn. Lovely rooms and creative decor along with a great porch that has plenty of seating that fits the ambiance. A great looking fire pit in the rear that I will be back to visit in cooler weather. A Very clean and safe place to stay. The food is worth the trip with breakfast a standout affair and coffee that had me returning for multiple cups. I arrived just in time for the wine thirty offering my first night and made sure to be there for all the remaining nights. I am happy to say the red wines are well made and I bought several bottles to take home. The service is top of the line and what a kind and caring pair of owners that bring us this little jewel in the mountains. I enjoyed the conversations and the comfortable atmosphere and looked forward to each food debut to see what they would devise next. And yes it is all true, the food is delicious! I will be back. My phone is not Verizon but a trek to the fire pit solved the connection.

It simply doesn’t get any better than Beechwood Inn. We took our granddaughter, because she loves the social aspect of getting to know travelers at evening wine events (She has water, but loves the snacks!). ‘She wasn’t disappointed, nor were we.
The breakfasts are five star. Each morning, we were excited to see what would be served. Our picky eater tried and loved everything. We were in culinary heaven!
Our accommodation, the Garden Cabin, was spotless, well equipped and extremely comfortable. The beds and linen were exquisite. The robes were so plus, I had to purchase one.
Dave and Gayle are a wealth of knowledge and information. They know the area, the spots to see, and the eateries that are not to be missed. (Don’t miss “Fortify” downtown.)
Stay here. You won’t regret it!
